It’s the small details that pull a build together. The Squadron Pro 2.0 features an integrated RGB backlight, giving you the option to choose a colour that works with the rest of the vehicle. For this Superduty, we set the backlights to amber to match the existing running lights across the front. Clean, consistent and much better than having everything doing its own thing. We’re packed up and heading to the Baja Designs headquarters in the USA. The trip will include product training, time with the engineering team and a deeper look at the technology behind the lighting range. It’s a great opportunity to ask the technical questions, share feedback from Australian customers and bring that knowledge back home. We’re excited - and the engineering team may want to clear their schedule, because we’ve got a few questions ready.

This is exactly why the Baja Designs XL Linkable works so well on custom builds. Each XL Sport light can be adjusted independently, allowing the bar to sit straight or follow the curve of the bumper or roofline. You also get up to 45 degrees of vertical pitch adjustment, so the beam can be fine-tuned rather than simply pointed straight ahead and forgotten about. Available with three to eight forward-facing lights, the system combines wide cornering, driving combo and spot patterns to create a smooth spread across multiple lighting zones. It looks properly integrated, performs exactly where it needs to and can even be expanded later. A light bar for people who refuse to leave anything unadjusted.

Under the vehicle, around the wheels, inside the canopy or near the tailgate - Baja Designs Rock Lights give you practical light exactly where you need it. This one started as a light upgrade and quickly became a complete front-end overhaul. The bull bar is being fitted with LP9s and LP6s, while the existing lower light bar is being removed and replaced with a custom LP4 Linkable setup. The result will be a strong combination of long-range visibility, wide coverage and usable light directly in front of the vehicle. Luckily, our distributor had everything on the shelf and ready to go - because this customer definitely didn’t come in for a subtle upgrade.
