To our customers who have had their vehicle/s paintwork ceramic coated over the last few years with our Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra 9 protection coating, followed by the secondary EXO V5 coating, as stated when both coatings were applied, the EXO normally has a life of 18 to 24 months, although some customers are getting 3 years + out of it, depending upon a few factors. If its water "beading" and "hydrophobic" effects have noticeably reduced, its time for the EXO coating to be reapplied. As stated at the time of applying both coatings, the EXO does not have to be reapplied to maintain protection, the Ultra is the protection coating and will still be there, so paintwork is still protected from contamination etching and damage.
Reapplying the EXO brings back the slick hydrophobic qualities, making the paintwork surface super repellent, allowing water spots and other contamination to be removed much easier.
Thought we would reach out this way instead of contacting in excess of 100 customers who have had this system applied, as it is less time consuming.
Let us know if you are in this situation and wish to have the EXO V5 coating reapplied at some stage. Again EXO does not have to be reapplied to maintain protection, the Ultra is the protection coating. If you only opted for the Ultra coating at the time, the EXO coating can still be coated over the Ultra at any time. Happy to discuss any questions on the coatings.
EXO V5 can also be a stand alone coating on paintwork, even if paintwork has not been ceramic protection coated.
We are Gtechniq Accredited Applicators.
