Why is regular servicing important no matter how many kms you put on your vehicle? ⚙️

To put it simply, regular servicing ensures that everything is running smoothly and as it should be, and helps to stop minor work becoming major, more expensive fixes.
•Engine oil can turn dirty and become sludge - leading to major engine issues or failure🛢️

Did you know that we check your wiper blades every service and pink slip inspection?

Most people don’t realise that your wiper blades can have an impact on if your vehicle passes its pink slip or not. We check how they perform; whether they smear or skip across your windscreen, as well as their physical condition; if they’re torn, cracked or even missing! A lot of the time, we’ve noticed customers don’t even realise how poor their wipers are until they have them replaced, as they get used to them as they deteriorate.

Here are some tips to extend the life of your wiper blades; don’t use your wipers on a dry windscreen💧, avoid using your wipers over frost❄️, regularly clean your windscreen and wiper blades🧽, avoid direct sunlight to prevent the rubber from becoming brittle and cracking☀️

Cabin filter, pollen filter, a/c filter. These are all the same things. This filter is typically located behind your glove box, and catches allergens, odours and protects your air con by stopping leaves, bugs, etc from entering it. They also tend to be a popular spot for rodents to visit!

Have you noticed that your air con or heater isn’t quite blowing like it used to? Your windows stay foggy with condensation for longer than normal? A funny smell and you can’t figure out where’s it’s coming from? These are all signs that could point to your cabin filter being blocked.

If you think you’re having these problems, next time you’re in for your regular service, mention to us that you like us to check/replace your cabin filter!

We all know how important it is to ensure your tyres have plenty of tread, however, it is coming to that time of year again where it’s especially important to make sure you have good, safe tyres on your vehicle! 🛞

Frosty, icey and wet roads do not make a good match with bald tyres. Hydroplaning and longer stopping distances all come into play with this kind of weather, leading to accidents that could be avoided with good tyres ❄️🌨️

When we service your vehicle, we check the condition of your tyres along with the air pressure, checking that there is enough tread and no punctures or leaks that need to be sorted. Tyres can quiet often wear on the inner edge/shoulder, making it harder to see wear when the vehicle is on the around. One of many reasons why regular vehicle maintenance is important 🔧
