Thinking about throwing in the towel on your apprenticeship? I get it. You’re seeing friends making easier money with less sweat, and you’re wondering, “Is this really worth it?”

Right now, you’re probably tired, frustrated, and considering quitting. But here’s something to think about: according to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research, only about 55-60% of apprentices and trainees actually finish their training. What does that mean for you? The fewer skilled tradesmen there are, the higher the market drives up the price for those who stick with it.

A friend of mine almost gave up halfway through his electrical apprenticeship. He’d watch others making quick bucks in retail or hospitality and thought, “Why am I working this hard?” Fast forward a few years—those same jobs hit a ceiling, while he started pulling in triple what they earned. Why? Because there were fewer skilled tradies around, and his skills were in high demand. It’s simple supply and demand.

What can you do?

•Stay the course. Remember, this is an investment in your future.

•Chat with experienced tradies. They’ve been where you are and can offer guidance. Most will give you time of they see you having a go.

•Keep learning. The more you learn now, the more valuable you’ll be when the demand peaks.

Quick money jobs rarely last, and they don’t offer the same long-term security or growth as trades do. Unless you get in early.

You may feel tempted to quit, but know this: the fewer people who finish their apprenticeship, the more valuable your skills become. Stick it out, and you’ll find yourself in high demand with the money to prove it.

So, before you make any rash decisions, ask yourself: do you want quick cash now, or do you want to build a solid, rewarding career that pays off in the long run? Stay in the game—the best is yet to come. 🏀

Ever feel like you’re stuck on a treadmill—working hard every day but not really getting anywhere? It’s time to change that and hit the open road this weekend!

Balancing work and personal life can be tough. After a long week of grinding, you deserve some time outdoors to recharge. But nothing kills that outdoor vibe faster than being unprepared—whether it’s losing signal in a remote area or struggling with poor visibility at night. Before you head out for that well-earned adventure, make sure your vehicle is ready for whatever the wild throws at you.

I used to think the harder I worked, the more successful I’d be. But I learned the hard way that success isn’t just about putting in hours—it’s about enjoying the fruits of your labor too. That’s why I started spending my weekends exploring the outdoors. But as I did, I noticed a common problem: too many people are unprepared for their adventures. From unreliable UHF radios to inadequate lighting, I’ve seen it all. So, I decided to combine my passion for the outdoors with my expertise in vehicle upgrades, focusing on UHF radio installations, driving lights, and electric brakes.

3 Steps to Take:

1. Prioritize with Purpose: Balance your week by setting clear work and personal goals. Make sure your weekend plans include some quality time outdoors.

2. Upgrade Your Gear: Before you head out, get your vehicle adventure-ready. Install a UHF radio for reliable communication, upgrade your driving lights for better visibility, and make sure your electric brakes are ready for any towing needs.

3. Invest in Quality Downtime:When you’re off the clock, make the most of your time. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the outdoors, knowing your vehicle is fully equipped for the journey.

You don’t have to work 24/7 to be successful Success includes making time to enjoy life.

Standard vehicle setups are not fine for off-roading. Don’t risk it—upgrading your UHF radio, driving lights, and brakes can make all the difference.

Work-life balance is not impossible. It’s tough, but with the right approach and gear, you can work hard and play hard too.

Success isn’t just about working hard; it’s about working smart and living well. This weekend, make sure your vehicle is equipped with the right installations—UHF radios, driving lights, and electric brakes—so you can fully enjoy the great outdoors without a hitch.

Ready to hit the road? Don’t let an unprepared vehicle hold you back. Contact me today for expert installations and make sure you’re set for your next adventure. Balance work with play, and get out there.

Fuse It or Lose It: Preventing Electrical Fires in Vehicles

Hey there, fellow vehicle enthusiasts! Buckle up because today, we’re diving into a topic that could save you from some serious (and not-so-fun) fireworks: preventing electrical fires in your beloved vehicles. 🚗💥
Why bother? Well, besides avoiding a literal meltdown, mastering these fire prevention techniques will keep your wheels rolling smoothly, your wallet happier, and your peace of mind intact. Unfortunately, too many folks skip this essential knowledge, and their poor cars pay the price. But fear not—I’ve got your back! Let’s spark some wisdom and keep those flames far away from our engines. 🔥
The Shocking Truth: Why People Skip Learning How To Prevent Fires
1. “Ignorance Is Bliss” Syndrome:
Some folks blissfully assume their vehicle’s electrical system is invincible. Spoiler alert: It’s not. Ignoring fire risks is like playing hide-and-seek with a lit match in a haystack.
2. “Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That”:
Life’s busy, right? Checking fuses and inspecting wiring? Nah, let’s binge-watch cat videos instead. But remember, a little prevention now saves you a lot of trouble later.
3. “I’ll Just Wing It”:
DIY enthusiasts often think, “I’ll figure it out when the smoke alarm goes off.” But trust me, that’s not the best strategy. Let’s be proactive, shall we?
4. “The Ghost of Fires Past”:
Maybe you’ve never witnessed an electrical fire firsthand. Lucky you! But don’t wait for a fiery wake-up call. Prevention beats firefighting any day.
Now, here’s the good news: You’re about to become an electrical fire ninja. 🥋 Let’s break it down step by step:
Step 1: Fuse Box Safety—Guardians of the Current
Why It Matters: Your car’s fuse box is like the Avengers assembling to protect New York City. Each fuse guards a specific circuit, preventing overloads and potential fires. Respect the fuses—they’re your unsung heroes.
What To Do:
Locate the Fuse Box: Usually under the dashboard or in the engine bay. It’s like finding Nemo, but with fewer fish.
Check for Blown Fuses: A blown fuse looks like a tiny burnt-out filament. Replace it promptly.
Know Your Amps: Fuses have different ratings (5A, 10A, etc.). Match 'em right.
Quick Reward Story: Meet Sarah. She replaced a blown headlight fuse (10 minutes, tops). Result? Brighter nights, safer drives, and a proud high-five from her car. 🌟
Step 2: Wiring Inspections—Unravel the Mystery
Common Mistake: Ignoring frayed, chewed, or exposed wires. It’s like letting a mouse redecorate your circuits.
What To Do:
Visual Check: Inspect wires for damage. No CSI skills needed—just keen eyes.
Tape It Up: If you spot issues, wrap exposed wires with electrical tape.
Avoid Janky Fixes: Duct tape? Nope. Proper repairs only, please.
Avoid the Oops: Bob thought duct-taping his chewed wires was genius. Spoiler: His car smoked like a barbecue. Learn from Bob.
Step 3: Battery Fire Prevention—Keep Cool, Literally
The Light at the End of the Tunnel: By preventing battery fires, you ensure smooth starts, fewer curses, and a car that doesn’t moonlight as a dragon.
What To Do:
Clean Terminals: Scrub off corrosion. Think of it as a spa day for your battery.
Securely Fasten Cables: No loose connections allowed. Tighten those nuts!
Avoid Jump-Start Blunders: Red to red, black to black. Sparks are for fireworks, not jump-starts.
Your Reward: Imagine stress-free mornings, no frantic battery swaps, and a car that purrs like a contented cat. Bliss!
There you have it, fellow road warriors! Fuse it, don’t lose it. 🌟 Now go forth, spread the fire safety gospel, and keep those wheels turning without the drama. Your car will thank you, and so will your inner pyromaniac (just kidding). Stay safe out there! 🔌🔥

Having a battery wired in parallel can disguise a faulty battery.

When testing for a battery drain its important to identify if a second battery maybe wired in parallel.

When connected in parallel, the battery with a higher voltage will try to charge the battery with the lower voltage.

When connecting batteries in parallel, the voltage remains the same; only the amp hour capacity increases.

I have seen batteries of different voltages in parallel. So when one fails, it disguises itself by constantly drawing from the good battery. The alternator tops both batteries back up. And we begin the process all over again.

Shortening the good batteries life.

What can you do?

Use the same type of battery.

Use a form of isolation like a solenoid.

Consider charging individually, and checking voltage.

When wiring batteries in parallel, ensure they have similar voltages to avoid imbalance and potential issues. And fit them fully charged.

If you need help with your battery. DM me "battery".

Quickly see if your sensor works without needing much information.

How do I Know if the sensor works?

Perform a quick diagnosis.

Sensors detect changes in their environment and provide information to other electronic systems, such as computers or control units. By sending some type of signal.

So many times I hear people over thinking the system.

Here are three things to check, to point you in some direction.

1. Does it have positive? Supply voltage (the voltage of the machine).

2. Does it have ground?

3. Does the signal wire change its state when in use? Simulate the environment its in by testing.

We don't need every schematic to diagnose. We just need to think about its purpose.

Keep it simple and if you still have problems, DM me the word "sensor".

Great advice

Just a reminder (and even to myself). An hour a day on your project serves huge benefit to a quick and fun project completion! The best part is everyone has the time. Morning, Noon, Night it doesn’t matter!

This makes it easier to stay on top of needed parts and hardware/supplies. Keeps your brain fresh. Compartmentalizes projects to keep from being overwhelmed, and creates realistic work. Just like the tortoise and the rabbit, the slow and steady wins. You’ll never be able to finish projects working 12 hour weekend days because you will hit things that are not able to be overcome and parts/hardware needs ruin productivity.

This absolutely works and will change your productivity immensely!
