Another project rolling through the workshop at Prime Maintenance & Mechanical.

The old donk is on its way out, making room for something a little more exciting. Now the real work begins as we get everything prepared for the next stage of the build.

Whether it’s a performance upgrade, engine replacement, or a full rebuild, we’ve got the tools, equipment and experience to get the job done right.

7 YEARS OF PRIME MAINTENANCE & MECHANICAL!

This month marks 7 years since we opened the doors at Prime Maintenance & Mechanical.

What started as a passion for quality workmanship has grown into a busy workshop trusted by customers across Mackay and beyond. From logbook servicing and general repairs to performance builds, American truck upgrades, engine rebuilds, suspension upgrades and everything in between, we’ve been proud to keep your vehicles on the road.

A huge THANK YOU to all our loyal customers, friends, family, suppliers and supporters who have backed us over the last seven years. Your trust and support have made this journey possible.

Today we met a lovely family who have been on the road since February in their 2500 Chev towing their Royal Flair Caravans around Australia. Luke messaged us after searching “American truck mechanics in Mackay”. After some conversations about fishing and sharing our knowledge about the big rigs, Luke booked in and we carried out a 20000klm service to ensure the next part of their journey is hassle free. How exciting for a young family to be seeing this country at snails pace. We are going to follow their journey on Insta at the__ings and see where their adventures take them.

We recently fitted a PPD Performance exhaust to this Y62. The stainless 3” cat back exhaust system certainly looked the party but sounded even better. Great to report that the customers were very happy with the sound of their new exhaust.
