Is ceramic coating worthwhile for a daily-driven car in Perth?

For many owners, yes—but only with realistic expectations.

A daily driver faces sunlight, dust, road grime, insects, bird droppings and repeated washing. Ceramic coating creates a slick protective surface that helps normal contamination release more easily and makes regular washing more manageable.

What it does not do is make the paint stone-chip-proof, scratch-proof or maintenance-free.

The preparation is equally important. Ceramic coating follows the surface underneath it, so new, ex-demo and used vehicles need to be inspected before coating. A light finishing polish may be sufficient, while paint with heavier defects may require more correction.
