Not a lot Happening....Not a lot of Guitarists working so there's not a lot of demand for set ups and repairs.
So here is a little bit of info on the newer process of spraying guitars...A lot of people will have heard of
powder coat, usually on metal products..But with advance's in technology. The same process can be used
on timber.....The short Video is of the Taylor Factory. But this is now creeping into main stream guitar manufacturers.
In China one of the most modern factories is the Shadow Facility.... Shadow may not come to mind immediately, You
may remember them as a German Pickup company. This is the Same company, but they build not only their own guitars
but a lot of top brands.....So why Electrostatic spraying ? Very little waste or over spray. The paint is attracted to all of
the parts of a guitar with an even coat Here is the Biggy ! The body is covered with 6 Micron of finish and requires no
buffing or polishing... A little while through the U.V dryer and the finish is rock hard and Glassy. Less overall time equals
