What do you like more? Yellow or Green?
I still can't decide which one I like more.

I had some shirts made up last year and wanted something a bit more colourful than the standard black most people go for. The natural choice was yellow because of the logo and branding I choose, but I wanted to explore another colour. I don't really have a favourite colour so my decision was made based on:
Red seemed overdone in the motorsport community, but
I have grown up with a lot of blue and didn't want another blue shirt,
Pink may be mistaken for a very faded red,
Purple would get mistaken for the Fremantle Dockers,
Orange reminds me of hi-vis,
I couldn't think of any bad things with Green.

I started looking at different greens and I settled on dark forest green colour that I associate with the green athletic American university clothing. Also the pairing with the yellow is sort of green and gold for Australia.

Wrex Racing were kind enough to put a shout out for me for one of their track days in Collie last Friday (29th November) and I have a few people enquire about data analysis and video overlays of data. One of those persons was Aimee Avie in her WRX tS that is completely stock.

Aimee progressively improved throughout the morning from a 1:47.72 to 1:35.59, while focusing on becoming comfortable on the track and learning the lines to take. Running on street pads, the braking zones couldn't be attacked as hard and my feedback is to buy track orientated pads and fluid then become more assertive and later on the brakes. It may be possible to brake 30m later into T3, T6 & T10 which will net an improvement of 1.0 to 1.5 seconds improvement over the lap.

Theoretical Best Lap Time from the day was 1:33.09 if all the best segments were used around the track.

Wrex Racing were kind enough to put a shout out for me for one of their track days in Collie last Friday (29th November) and I have a few people enquire about data analysis and video overlays of data. One of those persons was Ian Latta in his Blob Eye WRX that he has recently got.

It is apparent in the data and feedback from Ian that the brakes need to properly bleed and dedicated track pads installed to be able to confidently push in the braking zones. There is a lot of time to be gained by braking later and more assertive (less coasting) into T3/T4, T6 and T11/T12.

Ian's best lap time was 1:28.39 but taking all sessions his theoretical is 1:26.90.

Red - General Waste fortnightly
Yellow - Recycling fortnightly
Green - FOGO weekly

Rd2 & Rd3.
Great weekend down in Collie. Plenty of track time on Friday for the test and tune. The most enjoyable day of racing on Saturday with long track and meeting some great people including Daz & Josh who drove up from Denmark & Albany. Sunday was more of a struggle with tyres and an unfortunate incident that ended the day early, but lucky the driver wasn't significantly injured and can walk away from the wreck. Special thanks to the organisers allowing us to camp at the track which makes the weekend even more enjoyable. Thanks to the Honda fam and for the support and tips throughout the weekend to make me go fast.
Long Track : 1:27.4
Short Track : 55.0

Well I forgot to post my race calendar at the start of the year and Rounds 2 & 3 is just over one week away. Best to start checking over the car and getting it ready for Collie Long and Short Track.
