A nice little read about insurance recommended repairers

Warning to consumers. This image of a front chassis rail was taken post repair, and it was repaired by an insurer recommended repairer. This is what happens when insurers sign repairers up to fixed average price repair agreements. Given it is the ACCC's Scams Awareness Week and they take responsibility for consumer protection, why not ban fixed cost agreements? Or at the very least make the Insurers disclose that they have recommended repairers who are signed to these agreements. This explains why we recommend you must have Choice of Repairer on your insurance policy.
