Factory Hand / Workshop Trade Assistant

We are a family owned & operated business located in North St Marys. We specialize in driveshaft manufacture & repair. Truck chassis modifications, truck chassis extensions & repair. Due to the demand in this booming industry, we are recruiting to fill several Permanent full-time positions with an immediate start.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Use of hand held & automatic power tools
- Assembly work & machine operation
- General fabrication
- Cleaning of workshop

To be considered for this role you will need to:
- Be proficient in English
- Be able to work quickly & methodically
- Have strong problem solving & communication skills
- Be able to work unsupervised, with a willingness to develop & learn
- Have an eye for detail & the ability to provide high quality workmanship
- Be punctual, reliable & able to work as part of a team
- Previous experience in welding, fabrication highly regarded but not essential
- Have the right to live & work in Australia

We are looking for a Welder/Truck Body Builder to join our busy team located in North St Marys. We specialize in truck chassis modifications & chassis extensions/repairs. In this role you will get a wide range of exposure working with truck chassis, lazy axle, twin steer & tri-axle conversions. We have a full time position available for a fully qualified or experienced Welder/Truck Body Builder. We To be considered for this role you must;

- Be proficient in English
- Have previous relevant experience or trade qualification
- Be punctual, reliable & able to work as part of a team
- Drivers license preferred but not essential
- Heavy vehicle license highly regarded
- Ability to read & interpret drawings & record work carried out on job cards
- Have attention to detail & ability to provide high quality workmanship
- Strong problem solving & communication skills

Automotive Fitter & Machinist

We currently have an opportunity available for a Fitter & Machinist to join our fast-paced team located in St. Mary’s.

Responsibilities include:
- Design, manufacture, repair and reconditioning of driveshafts for automotive, industrial, agricultural & marine equipment
- Welding, balancing & assembly of driveshafts
- Operation of manual lathes, milling & balancing machines & drill presses
- Machining of driveshaft, differential & axle components
- Fabrication of parts from engineering drawings
- General workshop duties including cleaning of machines and work areas as required.
- Full-time, permanent role with immediate start

To be considered for this position you will need to:
- Be a trade qualified fitter & machinist
- Demonstrate flexibility with all job tasks
- Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings
- Sound knowledge of automotive fitting/machining and mechanical skills
- Previous experience in the same or similar industry highly regarded
- Proficient in English
- Must have car licence
- Possess the ability to work unsupervised and as a team
- Willingness to learn and grow
