It's been an interesting week at Robinson's Garage.
A very lovely couple were on a holiday trip on their beautiful 2014 Ultra Limited when I received a call monday morning while they were parked up at East Lynee, 20km north of Batemans Bay.
They weren't 100% sure what was going on with their bike as the dreaded engine light and high temp light popped up on the dash! We had a small discussion of what it could be, what could be done and where to go from there.
In the end, Ray and Nat asked if I had a trailer and space in the car to collect them and their baby to get a proper diagnosis and repair done. As soon as I was down the coast, we were all chatting like old friends.
These early Rushmore tourers had an issue with the coolant pump dying on a whim no matter where you were and with that being the case for Ray and Nat, who were 400 odd kilometres from home!
Being school holidays, there was absolutely no accommodation around so we put them up for a few nights while we waited on parts to arrive. We had laughs, good stories, great food and even greater company. After some hiccups on waiting for the parts to arrive, they showed up Thursday morning and we got it knocked out. Out with the old, in with the new and revised parts!
Ray and Nat are finally on their journey back home with a much more reliable coolant pump installed and more faith in their iron horse to get them home.
Thanks for choosing Robinson's Garage and thanks for the great stories and company!
