Melbourne traffic means plenty of traffic lights, short trips and stop-start driving. For a healthy hybrid battery, that is normal — but it can make the symptoms of an ageing or weak hybrid battery easier to notice.
If your hybrid battery is struggling, you may notice:
• The hybrid battery gauge rising and falling unusually quickly
• The petrol engine running more often
• Worse fuel economy than normal
• A louder battery cooling fan
• Hybrid system warnings or reduced performance
These symptoms do not automatically mean you need a hybrid battery replacement. A proper Hybrid Battery Health Test can check battery module balance, live data, temperatures and fault codes so you know what is actually happening.
Smarter Choice Auto provides Melbourne-wide hybrid battery testing and replacement. If your Prius, Camry Hybrid, Lexus hybrid or other hybrid vehicle feels different lately, book a health test before the issue becomes more inconvenient or costly.
