⛽ FUEL LEVY UPDATE – GONE TOWING

Hi Gone followers and customers,

We want to give everyone a quick update regarding our pricing.

Our standard pricing structure is designed around diesel sitting at approximately $2.25 per litre or below. Unfortunately, with the current volatility and significant increases we’re seeing at the bowser, we’ve made the decision to temporarily reintroduce our fuel levy.

Importantly, our base local towing price will remain at $110, we are not simply increasing our standard rates.

Instead, a fuel levy will be added when fuel prices are above our $2.25/L threshold. For example, a job normally charged at $110 may currently be $120 including the fuel levy.

Today, we paid $2.769 per litre for diesel. At that price, it simply isn’t sustainable for us to continue absorbing the additional fuel cost while keeping our towing prices unchanged.

The levy will move with fuel costs, when diesel drops back below our threshold, the fuel levy will be removed.

We believe this is the fairest way to handle the current fluctuations rather than permanently increasing our base prices.

As always, we’ll continue to be upfront about our pricing before your tow.

Hey guys, Craig here with a bit of an update! 👋

It’s a bit of a long one, so bear with me.

Firstly, yes… we’ve been pretty quiet on social media lately. We want to reassure everyone that Gone Towing is still fully operational, and we’d like to sincerely thank every one of you for your patience while we work tirelessly behind the scenes on what comes next.

We know we’ve been a little slack with posting, and we also know a lot of you are eagerly waiting to hear more about our top name picks, the blue floor, and everything that’s been teased over the last few weeks.

A little bit of background… over the past 2–3 weeks we’ve been operating with two of our leadership team unavailable, which has certainly slowed progress. The good news is we’ll have one of them back next week, and we’re looking forward to getting everyone together again so we can keep pushing forward.

As for the blue floor… we know you’ve all been asking! Trust us, we’re just as excited to show you as you are to see it. We’ve experienced a few unforeseen delays, but we’re still working around the clock to bring this vision to life. Once everything is ready, we’ll be making a full announcement and finally sharing what we’ve been building.

This has never just been about opening another automotive business.

It’s about creating something bigger than ourselves.

Small dreams become big dreams… and big dreams become reality.

Our team is building something we truly believe will have a lasting impact on our community. We’re taking our time because we want to get it right. We want to create something people can trust, something people are proud to be part of, and something that continues to put our community first.

To every customer, supporter, follower, friend, family member and business that has backed us so far thank you. Your support genuinely means the world to us, and we couldn’t be doing this without you.

One final update, Poker Huntus is still on hold for the moment. As much as I love running it, the developments happening behind the scenes are taking every spare minute we have. Rather than do it halfway, I’d rather pause it and bring it back bigger and better once we’ve got this next chapter underway.

Thanks again for sticking with us through the quiet period. We promise it’ll all make sense soon, and we can’t wait to bring you along for the ride.

Ok nominating names for truck naming has closed at midnight, we are going to go through them this week and pick our top 3 and then let you guys vote to the winning name.

We are all working extremely hard to bring together the next part of the gone brand and expect that we will have a new fresh update in the next 3 days. We are excited to do so and look forward to doing it.

During our process of getting all this developed we are remaining quiet and focused but will provide an update when we can. So keep your eyes peeled and ready. We might do a weekday drop this week for , just to show you all that there is proof of life here.
