Abit of a long one but Just an update for everyone regarding the recent weather conditions across SEQ.
Due to ongoing rain, humidity, and high wind conditions, a number of bookings and roof-related jobs have had to be postponed.
I know delays are frustrating, and I genuinely appreciate everyone’s patience, but I won’t rush work or compromise safety just to stay on schedule.
Roof inspections, sealant work, solar repairs, and leak diagnostics all require the right conditions to be done properly. Applying sealants to wet surfaces, climbing roofs in high winds, or attempting accurate water ingress diagnostics during active storms simply doesn’t meet the standard I hold myself to.
A lot of caravan roof work isn’t simply “apply sealant and send it.” Proper sealant repairs and solar installations rely heavily on surface preparation, moisture control, adhesion conditions, and curing time.
If there’s moisture trapped in roof joins, under mouldings, around penetrations, or beneath old sealants, new products may not bond correctly. In many cases, sealing over damp areas can actually trap moisture inside structures and create larger failures later.
The same goes for solar work.
Panel mounting adhesives and sealants require proper preparation and cure times to achieve full strength. High winds, rain exposure, cold surfaces, or rushed installs can compromise adhesion before products have properly cured.
Worst-case scenario:
A panel lets go on the highway and becomes a projectile.
That’s not a risk I’m willing to take with anyone’s van or the safety of other road users.
Roof work itself also becomes dangerous in these conditions. Wet surfaces, unstable ladder footing, and sudden gusts make safe access difficult even for experienced technicians.
Anyone can push jobs through during bad weather.
I’d rather delay the work and know it’s been done properly, safely, and to a standard I’m willing to stand behind long term.
For customers currently affected by postponements:
• I am actively working through rescheduling
• Urgent water ingress and safety-related issues will be prioritised where possible
• I’ll continue communicating directly with affected customers as conditions improve
I really do appreciate everyone’s patience lately. The weather has been brutal, but the goal remains the same:
Do it once. Do it properly. Do it safely.
