Winners are grinners!

A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to the Race Chix Karting Team on their 1st class win on Saturday night at Round 6 of the Four Stroke Karting Association of NSW Inc. championship’s 6 hour race at Manning Valley.

The team has been building up to the win, picking up second place in the previous round in Canberra.

These Chix are tenacious and we couldn’t be prouder of their determination. So so proud 🥰

A big thanks to ASR - Andrew Starkey Racing, who without them this would be possible.

We’re looking forward to the next round in Dubbo next month.

It was Round 4 today of the Four Stroke Karting Association of NSW Inc. Championship at Eastern Creek for the Race Chix Karting Team.

A 7 Hour enduro with a few of our drivers doing 45 min - 1 hr stints to stick to the minimum 10 pit stops.

Rebecca Grasso, Breá Moynihan & Mikayla Diaz finished 4th Class in kart 54 & Asha Wiltshier, Charlotte Rollason & Tammy Sabariz finished 7th in class in kart 5.

It was an awesome effort by the team, a few drivers are a bit battered & bruised after the event but we all left with (tired) smiles on our faces.

Introducing team driver Charlotte Rollason from Sydney.

Age: 20

🏁 What do you love about karting?
I love the competitive nature of it, as someone who has always played sport I just loved how competitive it can get. Racing and going really fast also just makes me feel so alive.

🏁 What do you enjoy about being part of the Race Chix Karting Team & ASR - Andrew Starkey Racing family?
I love how everyone is just so bloody awesome, everyone comes from different places and areas of life and everyone gives so much for each other. The biggest thing I love is that everyone supports each other so much.

🏁 Are you involved in any other disciplines/areas of motorsport, or are there other motorsport disciplines you’re keen to give a go?
Not really though my Dad used to drag race and now he’s into motorcross and he just always loved cars, so I guess it rubbed off on me.

🏁 Outside of motorsport, do you have other hobbies/interests?
I play a tonne of sports! I play oztag, tag league all year round but I used to play high grade netball and I play high grade oztag, I just love playing every sport. I also do CrossFit and just like the motorsport community, it’s just as supportive and it’s so much fun and has made me feel so strong!

🏁 What would you say to any Chix interested in giving competitive karting a go?
Do it! Best decision I ever made!

Introducing team driver Asha Wiltshier from Canberra.

Age: 24

🏁 What do you love about karting?
It’s both incredibly fun and incredibly challenging. I love the feeling of racing and watching myself improve and gain confidence.

🏁 What do you enjoy about being part of the Race Chix Karting Team & ASR - Andrew Starkey Racing family?
The environment is so supportive and so fun. I have gained so much confidence since joining the team. It’s wonderful to have such a great team with a wealth of knowledge who want to help you improve.

🏁 Are you involved in any other disciplines/areas of motorsport, or are there other motorsport disciplines you’re keen to give a go?
I have a 1997 Subaru WRX that I race in supersprints with the NSW WRX Club. I started with that in 2019, however since starting karting I’ve focused more on that and the Subaru has become more of a fun weekender.

🏁 Outside of motorsport, do you have other hobbies/interests?
I have been a competitor dressage rider for over 10 years and have a wonderful horse named Felix who has taken me to many state competitions. I am also in my final year of an Aeronautical Engineering degree.

🏁 What would you say to any Chix interested in giving competitive karting a go?
Give it a crack, even if you’re the slowest person on the track (which I regularly am haha), just means you have the most room for improvement! It can definitely be daunting but I’ve found the environment is wonderful and it’s just so much fun.

🏁 What do you love about karting?
The adrenaline buzz!

🏁 What do you enjoy about being part of the Race Chix Karting Team & ASR - Andrew Starkey Racing family?
Have gotten to meet so many lovely people through joining the team, the craic always great especially when Andrew is in full flow.

🏁 Are you involved in any other disciplines/areas of motorsport, or are there other motorsport disciplines you’re keen to give a go?
Happy to stick with the karting for now.

🏁 Outside of motorsport, do you have other hobbies/interests?
I love horses so that would be my other go to for enjoyment when I get a chance to get away.

🏁 What would you say to any Chix interested in giving competitive karting a go?
100% give it a go. It’s the best thing I have done and am hoping to stick at it for many years to come (hopefully getting faster 😉).

I love how the Race Chix Karting Team & ASR family are supportive and everyone has each other’s back.

🏁 Are you involved in any other disciplines/areas of motorsport, or are there other motorsport disciplines you’re keen to give a go?
I would love to eventually compete in the Excel cup and make my way into the GT series. Off-track, I would love to learn the marketing side of motorsports.

🏁 Outside of motorsport, do you have other hobbies/interests?
Dance, art and music.

🏁 What would you say to any Chix interested in giving competitive karting a go?
To never give up, keep pushing yourself and show up determined at every race.
