So for several years Issy has had a picture on her bedroom wall ...well most girls have singers or bands Issy has one ....

A Dove Blue Single Cab , that picture is what she first went to when we were offered Delta back in 2019...

This picture was how she wanted Delta to look like... last week we finished Delta ....making a little girl very Happy and Excited at the final result.

A huge thanks to Cody from CDY motor trimming for knocking it out the park and believing in a 9 year old girls dream. Yes a Red Canopy different but we are agreeing it looks absolutely awesome 👌

Big day for The Schmidt Family on Saturday we attended a new event here in the Hunter Valley at a lovely Vineyard...

Lots of Kombis and a few Beetles attended despite the wet week we had had.

I'm proud of both Sammy and Issy getting their utes ready through the week.

Rusty sporting a fresh coat of Inox making him look fresh and ready for a busy winter coming up.

Delta got her factory hoops back on and I must say loving the look. This was Delta's first VW event since completion so the girls were very happy.

Delta of cause also celebrated her 67th Birthday the past few days... a very special Birthday present is on its way...

The day turned out a glorious day and kids were happy chatting away about their projects with public..

The icing on the cake at the end of the day was the award ceremony.....

Whilst doing some home schooling with Issy this past week... I checked in on Dunlop Station out in Western NSW ... this is the station that Delta came from.

They have been restoring some of the sheds out there.... seems once this statewide lockdown is gone and we can travel again I think we need to do a visit.

Well this is the ultimate bucket list car for so many in VW Scene ... probably one of the rarest combinations a Dual Cab Pickup... I know its high on our list... but sadly Ash the current owner needs to move some assets...

So think about adding this to your shed and be the coolest kid in the town...

Issy and Sammy Schmidt are super excited to introduce Delta, Issys 1955 Volkswagen Kombi Pickup. Delta is back on the road after 2 decades of being stored.

Big day yesterday seen all of us tired home for dinner and bed

So will pop up some pictures for Issy for an update.

Timmy worked his magic in the rear motor in and up and running.

Sammy and Issy clean out the old door rubbers stripped the doors down and replaced them all with new ones..

We also managed to strip a parts door for the missing glass.

Little Schmidt's cleaned out the cab ready for interior fit out.

Issy slid inside the treasure chest and fitted fuel tank with my help.

I gave the front a Jiff bath scrubbing away the years of grime and chalky paint for a test to see how she cleaned up.

Then we'll Timmy and Issy got a test run in.

Massive day and weekend

Thanks Timmy - The Dokta for spending the weekend with us and helping us get Delta ready for the road..

Huge day today 4.30am to 11pm ..

Road trip down with parts to Uncle Klaus then spend a few hours working on Delta and catching while we planned the next few weeks.

Delta is looking amazing Thank you so much to Klaus for doing an amazing job on her nose job and other work.

Thanks to Dad and Sammy for doing the big trip.

Yes our Klaus had to go down and visit as well. He was very well behaved and is now catching up on some much needed rest too

Well It has been quite on Delta with Corona Virus Uncle Klaus has been busy doing work on his Volkswagens.

Sooooooo the day has come we have loaded Delta up and she is ready to go.

Uncle Timmy is going to the south coast for Xmas with his family and kindly offered to deliver Delta for me.

Thank you so much to them both I am so excited. I can't wait. We will be down to visit after Xmas
