Friendly reminder! If your brakes used to work great and now they don’t, it may be time for a brake fluid change! Regular fluid changes help keep your braking system performing at its best! The clear fluid on the left is fresh TBM Xtreme 6 DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid while the dark fluid on the right is used brake fluid drained from a customer’s car. It’s a great reminder of how much brake fluid can change over time. We recommend changing your brake fluid several times a year especially if you race a lot. Heat and moisture reduce brake fluid performance over time leading to a softer pedal and less consistent braking. Our Xtreme 6 DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid is non silicone based and compatible with DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 fluids, making it an easy upgrade before your next street drive or track outing.

2 Custom Steering wheel packages finished up today.
Both on their way to customers in QLD.

1 being our run of the mill 2 button deal for t/brake and bump on a turbo early model commodore utilizing a Motion Raceworks quick release and VB-VL adaptor.

The second is a bit more in depth and we have worked with the customer to ensure that all his criteria was met.
With the three buttons having multiple jobs dependent on the situation.
T/brake, Bump, Horn, Line Lock & Chute Release will all be taken care of with the use of an arm button on the Haltech keypad.
Also utilizing a bolt on quick release to suit early GM columns.

A very common question we receive from people enquring about TBM Brakes is do they clear double beadlock wheels.

As you can see here, due to the low profile design of the F3 caliper, yes all F3 4 piston rear brake kits clear double beadlock wheels.

All TBM rear rotors are 11.50” diameter to achieve maximum braking performance.

Here is your annual reminder to bleed your race car brakes.

Before Kenda Tires 660 Drag Radial Series last week we bled through a few bottles of TBM Brakes Extreme6 Brake Fluid to not only freshen up the fluid in the calipers but also flush clean fluid through the master cylinder and lines.

This left us with a better pedal feel and better performing brakes with reduced brake fade.

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, it attracts moisture and when moisture is present in fluid it boils at a much lower temperature then clean uncontaminated fluid.

Brakes needs maintenance just like other parts of your race car.
We reccomend bleeding your brakes and topping off the master cylinder every few events.
A full flush once a year to keep them working at their highest potential is also a good idea.

Another Transcooler we got finished up this week just in time for GTR festival for Al's Race Glides for Cranked Motorsports Australia brand new GTR Promod build.

This one kitted out with Milwaukee 18v battery setup and we also supplied Jiffytite quick connectors courtesy of our mates at Motorsport Connections Australia.

We have black powdercoated transcooler bodies in stock and raw ones should you require another colour or even custom paint, we can accommodate all your needs.

Lock up Th400 Transmission loom finished up today.

Transbrake, 2 stages of lock up, external dump, gear position and a Rife Sensors trans temp, Conv, L/U, line pressure sensor block all integrated into one loom.

Tefzel concentric twisted, covered in DR-25 and booted with a Raychem boots and SCL.

Now to make another one for the spare trans 🤪
