Building local capability for the Gascoyne

Today at Land Forces 2026, Parabellum International and Gascoyne Gateway signed an MoU focused on building emergency preparedness, workforce capability and long-term regional resilience in Exmouth and the broader Gascoyne.

The collaboration will explore opportunities to strengthen emergency response and medical readiness, develop local training and employment pathways, increase local participation, and build capability that can support both the project and the wider community.

For Parabellum, it is about planning early and creating opportunities for major projects to leave a lasting legacy of skills, jobs and stronger regional capability.

We were proud to mark the signing alongside Michael Edwards and Hugh Jones MLA at the Defence West Pavilion and look forward to working with Gascoyne Gateway as the project progresses.

Military service develops extraordinary capability.
The challenge is ensuring that capability is recognised when people transition into civilian careers.

Parabellum International is proud to announce a new partnership with RSL WA Workforce Connect, focused on creating stronger pathways between the Defence community and meaningful civilian employment.

Defence careers build highly transferable skills in leadership, decision-making, risk management, logistics, operations, technical capability and working under pressure. Yet those skills are not always easily translated from Defence terminology into the language of civilian workplaces.

As a veteran-led organisation, Parabellum understands the value that veterans, reservists, Defence partners and Defence families can bring to Australian industry.

Through this partnership, we will work with RSL WA Workforce Connect to help identify and translate that capability, support training and development where required, and connect people with opportunities across Parabellum's site-based, operational and corporate workforce throughout Australia.

The partnership also reflects a broader workforce opportunity. Defence, emergency management, resources, infrastructure and industry are all competing for highly capable people, and the Defence community represents an important pool of experience, leadership and talent.

We are looking forward to taking the first practical steps in the partnership this week at Land Forces 2026, connecting directly with veterans interested in exploring career opportunities with Parabellum.

This is about connecting talent with opportunity, recognising the value of service, and helping people find their next mission.

Thank you to the RSL WA Workforce Connect team for working with us to bring this partnership to life.

A strong start to LAND FORCES week in Perth.

Today, Parabellum International was pleased to join industry and defence colleagues at the AmCham Defence Lunch, bringing together leaders from across the sector for an afternoon of discussion, connection and shared perspectives on the opportunities ahead for Australia’s defence industry.

Our COO, Jessica Keogh, had the opportunity to moderate today’s discussion, helping guide an engaging conversation and bringing together insights from across the room.

Parabellum was also proud to support the event as an event partner alongside PwC, Alcoa, Gilbert + Tobin and Curtin University.

With LAND FORCES 2026 officially starting tomorrow, the conversations continue. Our team will be at the exhibition throughout the week and we would love to catch up with clients, partners and industry colleagues attending.

Building readiness through collaboration

Yesterday, we were proud to welcome guests to our Naval Base facility for an AmCham roundtable focused on nuclear-powered submarine emergency preparedness.

The discussion brought together perspectives from across industry to explore what practical preparedness will require as Australia develops its nuclear-powered submarine enterprise.

A key theme throughout the conversation was that preparedness extends well beyond plans and policy. It requires organisations to understand their roles, build strong working relationships, prepare their people and equipment, and exercise those arrangements together before they are ever needed.

One message particularly resonated: In nuclear emergency preparedness, the responsibility is to learn before the event.

Thank you to our partner AmCham and everyone who joined us yesterday and contributed to such an engaging and valuable discussion. These conversations, and the relationships built through them, are an important part of developing a strong and coordinated preparedness ecosystem.

Are you a driven, commercially-minded sales professional who thrives on winning new business?

We are seeking an experienced Sales Lead to take ownership of our equipment, vehicle sales and hire pipeline.

You will be confident opening doors with new clients, building your own pipeline from scratch, and carrying opportunities through from first conversation to commercial close, without relying on an established sales engine to hand you leads.

The role is focused on equipment and vehicle sales and hire across our customer base in resources, energy, defence and government - high-value, technical products sold into serious industries where relationships and credibility matter.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, is self-directed and resourceful! The right person will be rewarded generously for the results they bring in - not just activity.

If you know a high-performing sales professional who is ready for their next challenge, we'd love an introduction. Please feel free to share this post with your network.
