No matter the cost of the trailer it still needs lovin and maintenance, Riley RVE Construction did all the right things and still had a small issue, no problem, even though his trailer@was VERY expensive it still has it’s shortcomings, all sorted now with upgraded axles (2T each axle) and a new set of springs she drives like new and is way safer,

Time for another Towtek top tip.
Do you tow any type of trailer fitted with electric brakes???
The best advice I can offer is if you feel like your brakes are not working as they should DO NOT TURN UP YOUR BRAKE CONTROLLER!!!!
This will only shorten the life of the magnet and the drum face and in reality it won’t actually make the brakes work any better. (Although it feels like it is it’s not)
Regular service intervals are essential for adjusting the brakes to allow the shoes to do the work and not the magnet. It’s a myth that trailer brakes are there to stop the towing vehicle. They are only designed to hold the trailer straight when you are braking and assist with the extra load you’re pulling,
The pictures show wear that is caused by overpowering the magnet, this can also cause electrical shorts or worse,

Out today to a regular customer .carpentry to have a look at their excavator trailer,
Yet another case of just because it’s new doesn’t mean it’s right,

Hi all,
If your going away this long weekend with a trailer/van/trailer of any kind, let this be a warning to you,
PLEASE check you trailer before you leave or this could happen to you, this customer was EXTREMELY LUCKY that something major didn’t happen at 100k’s and hour on Eastlink, thank god for the observant truck driver who noticed it in time,
I implore you to take the time to check your wheel nut tension, shake the wheel at least to check your bearings, check the lights etc to avoid damage or MUCH WORSE….
