It seems like it's been in a blink of an eye, there is one final post to make. This time not a congratulatory photo, but one of myself, for after 20 years it is time to hang up the car keys for the final time. Can you believe we made it to 20 years!!!

Today was my final day teaching and throughout all that time, it has been a wonderful experience to get to know so many of you. I have taught 1000's and 1000's of students, and I couldn't tell you how many drive tests I have completed. I've seen it all, the nerves, the tears, the grateful hugs and ecstatic faces.

Over the past twelve months, I have been slowly winding down and I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported my business over the years.

To all the families that have come and gone, some with children of your own that I have also taught - yes, I am that old, thank you for supporting my small business.

I’m am so, so proud of you today, Jade! Just about everything was thrown at you and you handled it all like a pro. I know you didn’t feel it on the inside but you kept your cool and did an amazing job in spite of the busy traffic and conditions we faced! Congratulations on your fantastic result.

Many of you know that I’m only doing driving lessons part time now. I’ve slowly been winding them down and putting my passion into my other business Shades of You. Please give my page a like and follow along, I would really appreciate it.

It is crazy to think that I’ve been doing this job for almost two decades - longer than most of my students have been born! It’s a job that I frequently hear ‘I could never do that’.

Over the past 20 years, I have had the honour to teach 1000’s of students. From siblings, to school friends, and my own children. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me along the way.

I’ve seen people deal with every emotion under the sun. Nerves, joy, sadness, relief, pride. You name it. I’ve felt like a teacher, mentor and at times a counsellor.

ADA has given me the opportunity to connect with so many people and I just wanted to let you all know that I’m still here, still available, just not as frequently as I once was.

I hope you are all doing smashingly. (Not literally of course when you’re talking about this profession 🤣🤣🤣).
