Ahhhh... time for the weekend wrap up.
Best thing about today not going ahead (thanks to Mother Nature) was that this results post is a lot earlier than normal. Everything has been packed and put away (albeit being wet). Thanks to the very small clean-up crew, who walked around in the rain emptying bins, putting machinery away, cleaning up canteen/pit office/lap scoring box/front gate and picking up rubbish left behind (strange how some people can't find bins🧐)
🚫Unfortunately, the 2026 Nagambie Speedway 55 Lap Gold Rush WAS NOT run and done today, with the event officially CANCELLED AND DECLARED, due to conditions out of our control.
We understand this is disappointing for drivers, crews, officials and our supporters who were looking forward to a huge day of racing and seeing who could drive and survive the 55 laps - as it is a hard race to win. We sincerely thank everyone for their understanding, patience and continued support of Nagambie Speedway. Especially to those drivers who stuck around and supported our decision to give it a crack.
In all the years of 55 Lap Gold Rush history, this is the first the final has not been run (excluding Covid) - declared on 3 rounds of heat points from yesterday.
TOP 10:
1st in points - CR162 Danny Cox
2nd in points - DDA85 Rhys Meakins
3rd in points - RD83 Anthony McKean
4th in points - GV107 Daniel Kettels
5th in points - C83 David Barrie
6th in points - V99 Travis Ramsdale
7th in points - DDA30 Bailey Kakoschke
8th in points - Wang89 Kenneth Mankey
9th in points - NG40 Shane O'Brien
10th in points - WG82 Felicity Roycroft
As the final was not run, prize money was divided up equally between all the drivers/cars who remained at the track until the end.
