Hi everyone, just a reminder that Sonya and I will be away from now until Tuesday the 27th on school holiday with the kids.

Sorry but we will be unable to take your call or message during this time.

The workshop remains open with Ryan and Jacob taking care of the weekly servicing, and to assist you with minor issues if they arise.

We are currently taking bookings for the second week of February and there is NO bookings available before then.

If you would like to make a booking for February, please wait until the 27th and give me a call then, or pop up to the workshop and Ryan and Jacob with help you out.

Thanks, Jeff and Sonya

We are back from our Christmas break, and hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New year!

Thankfully 2025 is behind us, and we can move forward in 2026.

We are taking a different approach to work and family life balance this year as we've been that busy that family time and down time has taken a back seat, and the stress level needs to come down.

We changed our usual Christmas complete shutdown and staggered our/staff holidays to open a week earlier to try and keep on top of the workload.

Sonya and I will be having a week off starting January 19th, and Ryan and Jacob will keep the shed ticking while we are away.

We have some standard servicing slots still open for that week, January 19th thru 23rd.

For more complex jobs requiring diagnosis and repairs, we are taking bookings from Tuesday the 27th onwards as we will be all hands on deck.

Thanks! 🙂

From all of us here, we would like to wish you all a very merry & safe Christmas. It's been a big year & big things have happened. We no longer have an apprentice but instead, a fully qualified mechanic - congratulations Jacob, you've done an amazing job & you should be very proud as we are. We are very blessed to have such great people as part of our team. Thank you Ryan & Jacob for all the hard yakka & professional work you've done throughout the year, we wouldn't be the team we are, without you both. Thank you everyone for your on going support throughout the year, we are grateful that you have trust in us to keep your vehicles safe & moving.
Now it's time for us to enjoy a well deserved break, we are now closed for Christmas and we will be back at the workshop Monday 5th January.

First of all, I would like to thank all our customers this year for their patience and understanding. This year has been the busiest to date with no signs of slowing down, only the opposite.

Most would know by now that since January we have been averaging 6 weeks waiting times for general servicing and minor repairs. While this is good for business, this is not good for our stress levels, trying to keep up with servicing and repairs for our customers in a timely manner and not having them wait for 6 weeks. 2 weeks wait would be preferable!

Moving on to large repair jobs, unfortunately due to the busy year so far, the large repair jobs that are here, and still here from ages ago, have slowly been pushed out further and further. Rest assured I am doing everything I can to get these jobs finished and back to their owners as soon as I possibly can.

Bookings.

At it stands right now, we are now booking the first week of NOVEMBER for general servicing and minor service related repairs only.

Larger jobs - unfortunately we cannot take any larger repair work, for example engines, gearboxes, clutches, swivel hubs, complicated diagnosis jobs etc until mid JANUARY 2026. This is to allow us to catch up on what is already here or booked to be done, and have it all tidied up by Christmas.

This needs to be done to ensure the customers that are waiting, and have been waiting for some time will have their jobs completed as soon as possible.

Please don't ask "can I just drop it off and leave it with you for as long as you need and fix it in between other jobs" as this just won't work and is unfair to everyone else that is waiting.

Emergency jobs - yes we will try and help with your breakdown job if it's not a large complicated job.

I'm sorry that it's gotten to this point and not being able to help everybody out when they need it gets me down, we are working on a way to be more efficient and hopefully we will be able to catch up and keep up.

Thanks, Jeff

With the cooler months approaching, it's time to be on the lookout for the presence of rodents in and around your car.

We have started to notice rodent damage on some vehicles coming through the workshop.

A favorite place for them is under the bonnet, it's a confined dark space and retains warmth into the night. Rats and mice like to camp in there when its cold and they chew your wiring, belts and anything plastic and rubber.

By leaving your bonnet up while your car is garaged/parked it deters them from nesting in there as it's now and open exposed space with cool airflow.

Another thing to do is to scatter cotton wool balls soaked with peppermint oil throughout the interior of the vehicle, make it smell as strong as you can handle, this helps to deter them from nesting inside your car.

Set some traps and baits and keep on the lookout!
