The National 1 & 2 is now sadly over for another couple of years and what a wonderful Tour it was. We (Marc Alcock, who now owns the car and myself) had the pleasure of driving the 1910 Kelsey Motorette 140 kilometres (95 + miles) in just one day! - what a fantastic machine - 2 cylinder, 2 stroke, 2 speed, planetary transmission, just kept going all day! Great car.

We took the time to visit Andrew Benoit on the way home the other day to gain a better understanding of the unique Sizaire Naudin rear axle transmission, what a marvellous piece of early veteran engineering.

We just need to make ours change on the road as seamlessly as Andrews does on the bench!👍

As a foot note: Andrew's and are cars are sequential in number, different models but both original Australian delivery vehicles 😀

After 3 1/2 years of "globe trotting", our cherished 1902 Thomas is finally back home, certainly has been some adventures!😀😀👍👍

We kept this years celebration of the London to Brighton Run, low key on social media and confess we were all a bit anxious driving through the lovely little town of Cuckfield with its narrow 2 way street.

However we are pleased to report that we finished👍😀😀😀 Andrea drove the start & finsh, I the middle section. The Thomas performed impeccably!!

Started at 5:30 in the morning in the Thistle Hotel car park, down to Hyde Park, then off in the dark to Brighton. 400 pre 1905 cars, over 100 international entries!

What a historic event, 60 miles weaving our way through London traffic and some of the cutiest towns but very narrow roads! Started in the rain, finished in the sun shine.

Wonderful event and we look forward to doing it all again next year!
