Kickstart Coaching Day – Saturday, 12 September

Looking to get started in junior motorcycle sport, or need your endorsement for a new class?

Travis Gilmore will be running a Kickstart coaching day on Saturday, 12th of September. This is a great chance to complete required coaching before the end of the year, particularly for riders planning to ride the final round of the Whitehaul Grass Track Series on September 20th or the Arenacross event at the Millicent Show in November.

💥 WE’RE BACK! Motorbikes are returning to the Millicent Show 💥

After 4 years away, bikes are FINALLY coming back to the Millicent Show for the Millicent Show Arenacross 2026! 🏍️🔥

The Mount Gambier Junior Motorcycle Club is thrilled to bring high-octane motorcycle racing back to the showgrounds, and we can’t wait to see riders, families, and fans there for what’s set to be an epic weekend.

Kicking off on Friday night and featuring the Dale Teagle Memorial Race, we’re set for two days of incredible racing action. At this stage, exact class structure and final event format are still being finalised. Full details will be shared as soon as they’re locked in.

This return wouldn’t be possible without the Millicent Show - AH&P Society, who have worked hard to welcome us back and help facilitate our return to the show. Their support means a lot to our club and our community.
Big thanks also to Teagle Contracting Pty Ltd for the work already done on the track to get it event-ready. They’re helping create a safe, exciting arenacross course that’s going to be a highlight of the show.

If you haven’t been to the Millicent Show in a while, this is the perfect excuse to check it out. Alongside the arenacross action, you’ll have access to all the show has to offer, including rides, food, entertainment, animals, and all the country tradition you love. Make a weekend of it and bring the whole family.

🚧 A Huge Thank You to Our Supporters! 🏁

Projects like our new track development don’t happen without the incredible support of our local community.

As part of the exciting redevelopment at Borderline Speedway, we are extremely grateful for their generous donation of a building to assist with the development of our own track. It is fantastic to see local sporting organisations working together to strengthen motorsport in our region.

Thank you also to Gambier Earth Movers (GEM Group) for storing the building while we continue preparing the site. A special thank you to Williams Crane Hire for going above and beyond, by not only providing the equipment, but also their team to help relocate the building safely.

We appreciate the support of the local businesses, organisations, volunteers and community members who are helping make this project possible. Every contribution helps us get one step closer to creating a new home for motorcycle sport in the Limestone Coast. 🏍️

Reminder: we need volunteers to help out in the canteen on the day or we face not being able to run any catering. Sunday is shaping up to be a great day out at Jimmy Millard’s but need a few extra hands at the 2026 Whitehaul Grass Track Series - Round 3 to keep things running smoothly!

🥓🍳Canteen helpers - serving food/drinks, cooking the BBQ (nice and warm)
✅ Lap scorers - tracking laps for riders (easy to learn, great views of the action)

If you can help out, please message the page to let us know what you can do and what times you’re available.

🏍️ Riders: If you can bring along a family member or friend who can volunteer, it would be much appreciated - the more helpers we have, the better we can run the day for everyone!

📣 Reminder, we're heading out to Wye this Sunday for Round Three of the 2026 Whitehaul Grass Track Series! Online registration for this Sunday's event closes Saturday morning at 9am.
