435,000 km. Still earning its keep.

Today the old Triton rolled over 435,000 km.

Not many vehicles make it this far without regular maintenance. This one is proof that servicing on time is cheaper than major repairs later.

Today’s work included:
• Engine oil & filter
• Air filter
• Fuel filter
• All fluids checked and replaced where required
• Glow plugs
• Drive belts & idler pulley

While servicing, I also found heavy carbon build-up around the EGR system, restricting airflow and performance. A good reminder that diesel engines need more than just oil changes as the kilometres add up.

435,000 km and still going strong.

Most modern vehicles rely on sensors more than people realise.
When one starts failing, it can lead to poor fuel economy, rough idle, loss of power, warning lights, or even unsafe driving conditions.

Here are 5 of the most important sensors in your vehicle and what they actually do 👇

🔧 Oxygen Sensor (O2 Sensor)
Controls fuel mixture and emissions.

🔧 MAF Sensor (Mass Air Flow)
Measures the air entering the engine for correct fuel delivery.

🔧 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
Tells the ECU how much throttle is being applied.

🔧 ABS Wheel Speed Sensor
Monitors wheel speed for ABS and traction control systems.

🔧 Coolant Temperature Sensor
Helps control engine temperature, cold starts, and fuel adjustment.
