Vehicle has done 60000k. Never raced or tracked. Most kilometres added by driving from Mossman (FNQ) to Sunshine Coast over 3 years to visit family.
Oil and filter changed every 3k.
Air filter cleaned and recharged every 10k.
Owned by a fastidious older Auto Electrician with many convenience, comfort, aesthetic, driveability and performance improvements fitted. Nothing to do.

It takes a lot to light my fire.
But recent experience has exposed me to a level of service I thought had disappeared long ago from the Automotive industry. An industry I've been involved with for 47 years.

But to details about....why I will never have my new Mitsubishi Triton, or any vehicle for that matter, repaired or serviced by FNQ Hub Atherton Mitsubishi, 2 Cook St, Atherton QLD 4883 again.

And in the interests of fair play and accuracy I have given FNQ Hub Atherton Mitsubishi a link to this post. As of 18/3/2023 no response has been received.

Spoiler alert...it's to do with their poor quality control and workmanship (their own words).

A $5K Ironman Canopy that has been spray painted incorrectly. Twice.
Grease marks left on the driver's seat and door.
Canopy roof bars not even fitted, and then having to pay $150 towards their fitting after being told 'the ones in the Mitsubishi ad are no longer available so in order to have them you will need to pay'. Despite the latest Mitsubishi Triton ad showing roof bars fitted.
At the completion of the 2nd Canopy respray, the canopy wiring was incorrectly reconnected leading to burning out the rear window locking solenoid.
The canopy driver's side glass window scratched when removed for the second spray job, with Atherton Mitsubishi saying 'well we did our best but...oops, sorry, your problem', and then when challenged accepting responsibility and replacing it.
A rear window not correctly adjusted in order to close.
The major seal along the front of the canopy not installed correctly allowing water to enter.
Rear window seals both sides of the rear window not finished off correctly leading to water flowing inside the rear window and door.
In the process of putting it back together, the rear Canopy window lock was bent necessitating a replacement be ordered.
Of 4 x 3 hour return trips and many hours waiting, for them to try to do the job properly, and failing miserably.

On the 28/2/23 there's a response from Atherton Mitsubishi service department regarding the Canopy colour mismatch.

"I have spoken to the Dealer Principal and the sales manager, they have both agreed as this issue is through the 3rd party repairer, being the panel shop ( Tom from inner circle panel repairs, who you met when you were last up) we suggest that you were to phone him and discuss compensation for the respray that will be done in Mossman. FNQHUB covered the first respray, but as it is through Tom at inner circle, we are going off his word saying he can’t respray it to perfect the colour match. As mentioned, I recommend you discussing this issue with Tom as it is his workmanship that is the issue and not FNQHUBS."

Wow. Despite Atherton Mitsubishi selling me the vehicle (with canopy) as a colour matched package, despite the first canopy colour being perfect but the spray job being incorrectly applied and them (apparently) paying for it to be redone correctly, it somehow becomes my responsibility to liaise with the body shop to have the colour mismatch rectified!!!!!

Ok peeps....I'm a pretty layback type of old fart. Yes I'm opinionated, sometimes obnoxious and rude. But mainly I lead a pretty cool sort of life with good friends, good destinations and a smattering of kitesurfing.

But one thing really gets under my fingernails.....people who book my services to repair their car...and then don't turn up at their vehicle (I'm mobile) at the time we've arranged.

Yes I know....hiccups occur. We're all late sometimes. But ffs what does it take (I also swear a lot) to give me a quick ring or a text to let me know? I'm more than happy to be flexible in that situation. But call me 40 minutes after the allocated time to tell me you're home now and I can come back over and I guarantee you're in my naughty book.

Having got that off my chest....stay safe n sane out there.
