HEAVY DIESEL / PLANT MECHANIC
$50–$55/hr + Work Vehicle | Moss Vale | No Weekend Work
Southern Plant Maintenance is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel / Plant Mechanic to join our busy workshop and field service team in Moss Vale.
We’re a locally owned and operated mechanical business servicing the Southern Highlands and surrounding areas. We work across a wide variety of heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment, plant and diesel utes – so no two days are quite the same.

WHAT WE OFFER
● $50–$55 per hour depending on experience
● Work vehicle
● Monday to Friday – NO WEEKEND WORK

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Our customers include local businesses, farmers, earthmoving contractors and commercial operators, so you’ll get plenty of variety, including:
● Heavy vehicles and trucks
● Earthmoving and construction equipment
● Excavators and loaders
● Diesel utes and 4WDs
● Trailers and farm machinery
● Hydraulic systems
● Servicing, repairs, diagnostics and breakdowns
● Field service and onsite repairs
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who:
● Is a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Plant Mechanic with attention to detail and pride in their workmanship
●Is passionate about the trade and will assist and oversee apprentices
● Has strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
● Is confident working independently in the field as well as part of a team
● Is reliable, honest and self-motivated
● Has good communication skills and can deal confidently with customers
● Holds a current driver’s licence
Experience across heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment, hydraulics and diagnostics will be highly regarded.
