Most boats we look at are on docklines that haven't been properly thought about — not wrong exactly, just not specified for what they're actually doing.

Sydney Harbour's tidal range, the wash from passing traffic, the load pattern through a winter storm event — docklines absorb all of it continuously.

Nylon versus polyester, diameter for the displacement, chafe points at the fairleads.
