430ci Windsor prepped and ready for the dyno. 🔥

I’ve really been liking this colour scheme lately. A good 50/50 split between the raw alloy/silver components and black anodised accessories. It gives the engine plenty of contrast without going too far either way.

Keen to know what everyone else prefers when it comes to an ideal engine colour scheme?

All chrome/silver?
All black?
Or a 50/50 split like this one?

The other good news is once we’ve finished this Windsor up on the dyno, it’ll be up for sale.

So if you’re looking for a strong 430ci Windsor without the usual build lead time, keep an eye out. We’ll have more information coming soon along with the final dyno numbers.

WHICH ONE ARE YOU CHOOSING? 👇

Two very different ways to make serious power.

🔥 HARROP TVS TOP MOUNT
Top-mounted positive displacement blower with integrated intercooler. Instant response, clean packaging and that blown V8 feel.

âš¡ PROCHARGER F-2 NEW GEN
Side-mounted centrifugal setup. Big airflow, serious top-end power and plenty of room to grow.

If you were building your engine today, which one gets your vote?

And more importantly… tell us WHY in the comments.

Today’s job is setting up this set of 225cc heads.

These are a set we’ve hand ported in-house using our own high-port intake, chamber and bowl design. There’s a lot of time in a set like these, and we’re pretty happy with how this combination has evolved over the years.

We’ve got a full workshop at the moment with a number of engines in different stages of the build, so that’s where our attention is.

Because of that, we’ll only be opening up a limited number of engine build spots before closing the books for the remainder of 2026. We’d rather stay focused on the work already in the workshop than keep stretching the lead time out further.

If you’ve been thinking about an engine build, get in touch sooner rather than later.

Not all engine power comes from the intake ports. The exhaust side is just as important. Getting heat out of the engine efficiently is a huge part of making reliable horsepower.

Here’s a set of in-house Windsor cylinder heads we’re currently preparing for a 430ci Windsor stroker build. As you can see, we’re taking these exhaust ports to the absolute limit to maximise flow while maintaining reliability.

Tech tip of the day: don’t overlook the exhaust side. Sometimes that’s where the biggest gains are hiding.

How much attention do you pay to the exhaust ports when planning an engine build?

Put this 8.2 deck World Products block on the stand today and was admiring the quality of the casting and machining. They’re still one of the nicest aftermarket blocks we see come through the shop.

Then, while doing the usual inspection, we started pulling out some surprisingly large pieces of casting and machining debris.

That’s not a criticism of World Products. In fact, I’d still rate them above most alternatives in terms of overall finish and quality.

It’s simply a reminder that nothing gets a free pass. Whether it’s the best block on the market or the cheapest, every part needs to be checked thoroughly before assembly.

Trust your inspection process, not the name on the box.

900HP at the hubs and climbing.

Check out James Kamph’s immaculate engine bay featuring a triple black, twin turbo EJR-built Clevor, now paired with freshly coated turbos and looking every bit as tough as it performs.
The current combination is producing 900 horsepower at the hubs on just 11psi, and James has already stepped things up with a turbo upgrade as he chases the 1000+ horsepower mark. We can't wait to see this beast back on the dyno and hear it really come on song.

What makes this combination so popular is its versatility. We've been building this engine package at EJR for several years now, and it continues to prove itself across a huge range of applications. Some customers run them with a 6/71 blower at around 5psi and enjoy a reliable 600-700 flywheel horsepower, while others, like James, lean on them harder and push well into four-digit horsepower territory.

A big part of that success comes from using proven components from some of Australia's leading performance manufacturers. This package features CHI 3V 225 cylinder heads, a custom Crow Cams hydraulic roller camshaft, and an ICE Ignition system, creating a combination that delivers excellent drivability, strong power production, and plenty of room to grow.

Different goals, different combinations, same proven foundation.
Whether you're chasing a tough street car, a blown cruiser, or a four-digit horsepower turbo combination like James, these packages have repeatedly shown just how adaptable they can be.
