Mobile HoseFixers began operation in 1992, with one van and one operator, and now boasts a large van fleet and ten service centres, servicing South & Central Queensland, Sydney, Adelaide, South Western Melbourne and Dandenong areas. Our operators are fully trained in all aspects of hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings along with all associated products and their applications. All our vehicle

s are fully kitted mobile workshops fitted with modern communication systems and we have an experienced team behind the scenes fully able to back up our onsite service. MHF Central Queensland opened in Nebo in June 2010 as a one vehicle mobile service and has grown into a 4 Mobile Service Vehicle operation with a workshop and warehouse located at 17 Industrial Avenue, Moranbah. MHF have just completed a Workover Rig in for a full RS23 Re-Hose. That’s every line associated to the rigs operation, replaced to standard. If you didn’t know, unlike drilling rigs that create new wells, Workover rigs are designed to fix/intervention or enhance the productivity of an existing wells without disruption.

The RS23 isn’t simply a wrap-and-tag system; it’s a new benchmark in safety.
It’s not about aesthetics, nor is it about the cost of changing something that isn’t broken. It’s about providing an added layer of safety assurance, ensuring that everyone working in the vicinity of high-pressure hydraulic lines can do so with greater confidence, reduced risk, and improved mitigation measures should an unfortunate failure event occur.

We’re beginning to see a significant shift in industry culture, with clients evolving, adapting, and adopting this new standard of safety without hesitation. As awareness grows, so too does the understanding that proactive risk reduction is not an expense—it’s an investment in people, equipment, and operational reliability.

MHF Customer had a last minute unwanted breakdown on a priority job. This Vac truck split its main Vac Pickup Hose, the team went to great ‘lengths’, made ‘reel’ light and quick work of this one to see the customer in and back out on the job site where it was needed. Punts intended 🤣

MHF’s Travis Cowley embarked on an emotional and physical journey over the past couple of weeks.

Travis took to the Kokoda Trail in PNG with friends and fellow trekkers to see the sun rise on Anzac Day, just as our ANZACs once did on that very day in Isurava.

Travis is one of MHF’s Coordinators and has been leading the way ever since MHF first met him, so it was only natural that the Kokoda Trail was within his appetite for challenges. With family still serving in the Australian Defence Force to this very day, it’s in his DNA.

We’re proud of you, mate, and I’m sure your family are too, for taking on what some would see as an impossible trek. Well done and thanks for sharing.

What others might see as avoiding, we see as a challenge and giving things new life.

A customer brought an old mobile deck vac pump in for recommissioning which appeared to have been sleeping for quite some time. We had to take this one to the drawing board with adaptation and to incorporate unit into the tilt trays existing parent hydraulic systems but still have a quick, easy removal ability without compromising anything or introducing further issues.

With some think tank ideas, minor modifications, bracket fabrication, new controls and quick connectors, we were able to give the customer exactly that and within the customers desired budget.

Just because it’s visually historic and aesthetically not new, not always determines end of life. Assess, diagnose, review and reuse ♻️

Some of the MHF crew hit the local Moranbah Go Kart Track on Friday for a bit of team morale—and it got competitive quickly.

Justin has clearly been logging hours on Mario Kart… he took out the fastest lap by 0.2 seconds and claimed the trophy 🏆, a custom job too—handcrafted from brass fittings, P-clamps, and cam locks (built by themselves for the night 🤣).

No go-karts or work relationships were harmed on the night 🤣, maybe a few competitive streaks were ruptured, but that’s just part of the fun.

Another RS23 project out the door.

A customer brought in their small but mighty 5-ton excavator for a full strip and audit, followed by a complete RS23 standard re-hose. From Hitch to Slew Tail and everything in between.

This unit packed a serious count — 122 hoses in total. Every hose was removed, manufactured to RS23 specifications, pressure tested, certified, and reinstalled in its correct position.

Built right, tested right, and back to work with confidence.

Another exemplary job by all the Team, Jayden one of our experienced techs dominated the greater part of this one with a unique identification method and process of disassembly & reassembly when removing 122 hoses, ensuring they retain original position, 100% function test on start up when commissioning/stall out for leaks.

Today we have a Hydraulic Rod Sloop Deck in for a full strip and assessment, focusing on leaking cylinders for repair. These decks are highly versatile and independently configurable—while commonly used for rods, this particular unit is currently set up as a camel back.

With MHF’s dedicated Cylinder Bench, we’re able to carry out all cylinder repairs in-house. This not only provides full service access, but also significantly improves turnaround times and reduces logistics costs—an important factor in today’s operating climate.

The MHF lads and the client are absolutely smitten with this 35m shed fit-out.

The team stepped in and commissioned the client’s workshop compressor, installed five service delivery points with water dump valves, and ran auxiliary feed lines to each reel installed —while neatly concealing 95% of the air supply hosing throughout. The result is a clean, efficient, and highly functional workshop setup.

Ethyne & Jayden really enjoyed this one. Top work, gents and thanks for standing still for 1 second for the photo, I know this was difficult. 😂
