BMW 118d (N47) – Crankshaft Pulley & Drive Belt System Overhaul
​This BMW 118d came in with a detached drive belt caused by a separated crankshaft harmonic balancer. Fortunately, no collateral damage occurred to surrounding components.
​Work completed:
• Removed failed harmonic balancer and inspected engine bay
• Fitted new OEM-spec crankshaft pulley, drive belt tensioner, and idler pulleys
• All fasteners torqued strictly to factory specifications
• Installed new drive belt and reset tensioner
• Performed diagnostic scan, cleared stored low-voltage/charging codes, and verified alternator output

​One side still looked okay, but the pressure plate side? Down to the bare metal rivets. Completely chewed through.

BMW 220i Brake Fluid Flush at Motor Junction 🔧

Keeping those brakes sharp and safe! 🛑 We had this BMW 220i in the workshop today for a complete brake fluid flush.
​Using our professional pressure bleeder, we ensured all the old fluid and air were completely pushed out from all four wheels. We strictly use premium DOT 4 LV (Low Viscosity) fluid to meet exact BMW factory specifications for the best DSC/ABS performance. Finished it off with a CBS service reset on the dash. Good to go! 👍

Why this Astra overheated: Brittle plastic disaster 💥

Ever wondered why cooling system leaks happen out of nowhere?
​Pulled off this Holden Astra thermostat housing to find the internal plastic channel completely broken away. With nothing supporting the rubber gasket, it deformed under heat and pressure, causing a major coolant leak and severe overheating.
​Fresh housing assembly installed, cooling system bled, and running at the correct operating temperatures once again.
​Don't ignore minor coolant smells before brittle plastic leaves you stranded! 🔧
