This 68 Single cab is all wrapped up, last job was to install a stereo and speakers, most people in the past have just hung the speakers in the door cards, this always ends up wrecking the cards, the last few installs we’ve done have included mounting the speakers in the doors but using a timber reinforcement panel, this time we made them in steel and punched a series of holes in the cards after carefully removing the timber backing on the cards, we will be making these steel speaker panels into a kit going forward and will come with a guide to mark and punch the cards
The speaker kit used runs a 6” woofer for the doors and small tweeters which is similar to most modern car design providing a much nicer sound quality
