Hayden and Ashton raced in the Winter Cup at Monarto on the weekend.

Racing was close up front all day with some great battles and clean racing from all the cadets .

Well done to Parker for grabbing pole position .

This weekend we raced at Go Kart Club of SA for the Rocky Gully Showdown. We were lucky with the weather and was great day and thanks to all the officials and volounteers that make it happen.

Ashton was competing in only his 2nd race meeting and due to being a P plater had to start from rear of field in every race but consistently finished 5th and 6th and then had a great final to finish 5th and get on the podium and a trophy having the most overtakes of any competitor in the field.

Hayden decided to run an old Omega Racing Karts A frame chassis and was quick out of the box and won all heats and the final whilst setting quickest laps in all races. Great effort and shows these chassis are still very quick.

Last weekend we travelled to Hamilton to contest the 2nd round of The Victorian Country Series. The boys loved the track and the hospitality was great. First time at the track and showed good pace

This weekend Hayden competed in the first of three rouns of the Tri-state championship between Barossa Go Kart Club, Mildura Go Kart Club and Broken Hill go Kart Club. The rain did not stop and was extremely wet all day and all the cadet 9’s drove exceptionally well considering the conditions. Hayden qualified 3rd behind the local Leo and by fellow South Aussie Parker with them both setting very quick laps. It was extremely close between Parker and Hayden all day as they battled for 2nd with Leo being extremely quick. Coming down to the final Leo had a spin and had to play catch up and Hayden was able to keep his cool and managed to hold on for the win and take the round win.Well done to both Leo and Parker as all drove well. Looking forward to next round at Broken Hill

On Sunday we competed in round 4 of the Sprocket Rocket Cup. First time the cousins were able to be teammates and race with one another

Ashton was competing in his first race and was celebrating his birthday on the same day making him one of the youngest debutants in cadet 9. He drove flawless and ended up improving on his PB by 2 seconds. A fantastic effort and nerves of steel and can’t wait for the next race to see another PB. It was great celebrating with a Southern Go Kart Club Track cake made by mum.

Hayden drove amazing all day and had some great battles with a couple of drivers over from Victoria with 0.2 of a second covering the 3 of them in heat 3 and final making for some great race entertainment. Finishing the day with a couple of seconds and a couple of 3rds with a race win gone begging with a penalty due to contact. Massive thanks to Dom Mercuri for the coaching and tips throughout the day and support from JGR

Last weekend Hayden raced at the Bartel Classic also being round 2 of the sprocket rocket cup hosted by Go Kart Club of SA. The Omega Racing Karts chassis performed all day managing a P2, P1, P6 ( mechanic left choke on), and a P2 in the final. Great racing by Henry Dohnt #95 and Parker in the final as all 3 raced bumper to bumper and clean to the flag. All cadets are improving and looking forward to the VCS round 1 this week
