Over 1700 man hours transformed HS30-00211from a bent, rusty and incomplete early 240Z back into a stunning running & driving vehicle.
Just before NYE '25 we delivered it back to it's ecstatic owner.
A huge thanks to our team & build partners for their efforts in the restoration.

A quick repair to Chris's Mk2 Contina 2-door.
The previous owner backed into a curb crushing the LH rear quarter panel up.
We pulled the damage out, then replaced the section of the quarter panel and the rusted out spare wheel well. The rear quarter panel was then given a good straightening with the hammer, flipper and dolly.

Flashback to a number of years ago when the great Jay Leno visited my humble little (back then) shop.
His enthusiasm was infectious and I was thrilled when he agreed to pose for this hilarious photo!

HS30-00081. Last year owner Terry asked us to repair some rust in the guards and doors, as well as change the radiator support panel back to 240Z spec from the RSP that had been welded into place decades ago.
Like a lot of early Zeds, 81 had seen a hard life and had previously been fitted with replacement front end & panels from a 260Z.
What transpired was a multi month restoration on the front end of the Z, correcting accident damage, along with new engine bay skirt and rails, new RSP, LH floorpan, underfloor rails, door skins... The list went on.
We also performed a full respray in 901 Silver, rebuilt the brake system and close ratio gearbox.
We wish Terry many happy hours behind the wheel!

HS30-00171 has arrived for us to complete a full turnkey restoration on it to original specifications.
We'll be using products from , & , and as many Genuine Nissan parts as possible.

An afternoon trip down to Nicholson, Victoria this afternoon to collect another old autobench.
It's a bit rough around the edges as it's been used as a rotisserie but with our added workload, a second bench is needed for our chassis jigging jobs.

And now for something slightly different: A Sunbeam Tiger!
Owner David has asked us to complete the panel and paint on his Tiger. On initial inspection it looks pretty good, but it's going to be interesting to see what it looks like once it's been media blasted...

David's formally Brown 240Z body restoration is progressing steadily.
The new floor pans are in place, outer sills are repaired, LH firewall is in along with the LH engine bay frame rail.
We still have to pull the hatch floor out (due to previous accident damage) before we can fit the replacement tail light panel.
New front guards are here, along with a new hatch. Door shells will be delivered soon.
Onwards!

David has commissioned us to restore the body of his '73 240Z.
It actually looked pretty good, but once it was stripped down and media blasted, well... what was uncovered is slightly alarming...
Front and rear accent damage, poorly attempted rust repairs and rust hiding under filler and stone guard.
We love restoring these cars though, so follow us for updates!
