More than 40 years after its Formula 1 experience, Wolf Racing Cars returns to single-seater racing with the Wolf GB08 Sonik, the first Formula car of a new generation.

Developed to deliver performance second only to Formula 1, the GB08 Sonik combines 1,050 hp, a top speed exceeding 350 km/h and a dry weight of just 696 kg, generating 1,250 kg of downforce at 250 km/h.

Its technical features include a DRS system, an aerodynamic Halo fairing, suspension designed to optimise airflow and integrated wheel covers with brake cooling ducts.

The development objective was to combine extreme performance with straightforward management, offering teams and drivers a competitive single-seater with high reliability and lower operating costs compared to cars delivering similar performance.

With the GB08 Sonik, Wolf Racing Cars opens a new chapter in its history.

Storm clouds rolling over Round 5 of the ADC, and some beautiful moments captured from inside our garage.

A huge thank you to our garage winners for coming to see us at Winton and for these wonderful photos. It was great having you in the Carbon Racing garage, and you've caught the weekend better than we could have. 🙏

"LIIIIAAAAAM!"
Then we watch him look up like a meerkat who's just heard a gunshot. 😎

Round 1 at The Bend: baptism of fire. Ignacio "mentoring". Everyone else: tough love with volume. Liam? Took it like a champ, impressed the boss, and somehow became Formula Zac's dedicated engineer. Data. Tyres. Setup. The lot.

Including the moment he figured out how to lock into other drivers' dashes to "view" their data. Ignacio was impressed. No end. We've created a monster. Far too well suited to Carbon Racing's ways. 😝 Still gets the odd bark from Ignacio, which we assume is motivational. Or a love language.

So committed he bought his own tyre pressure and temp gauges. Ignacio's tools are safe. Liam's dignity? Less so.
Always there. Always ready. Always one yell away from a mild cardiac event.

You're a legend, Liam. Keep panicking. 🔧🏎️

"Managed to come back with a P5 after starting 12th, so it was pretty good, a lot of fun."

#37 Kalen Chin caught up with the Australian Drivers' Championship after Race 2 at Winton, where he went from P12 to P5. He then finished P2 in both Race 3 and Race 4.

P12 ➜ P5 🔥

After a broken chain ended his Race 1, #37 Kalen Chin started Race 2 from P12 at Winton Motor Raceway and charged through to P5. He followed it up with P2 in both Race 3 and Race 4.

Winton wrap-up: from the back of the grid to back-to-back P2s 🏆

That's Carbon Racing's Round 5 of the Australian Drivers' Championship done at Winton Motor Raceway. There were four races across the weekend (Race 1 on Saturday, then Races 2, 3 and 4 on Sunday 4 October), and Harry Strik won all four. Here's how it went for our three drivers:

🥈 #37 Kalen Chin: Ret, P5, P2, P2. From the back of the grid to back-to-back P2s. After a broken chain ended his Race 1, Kalen started Race 2 from P12 and charged up to P5, then finished second in both Race 3 and Race 4
🥉 #38 Zac Catlin: P3, P3, Ret, DNS. Zac opened the weekend with two podiums before chain and sprocket damage ended his run. With the short turnaround between races, the crew ran out of time to fix it before Race 4. A tough way to finish what had been a strong weekend
🏁 #14 Jack Lewis: P10, P11, P9, P11. Four races, four finishes, with a best of P9 in Race 3

Huge thanks to the crew: Ignacio (team lead), Luke (head mechanic) and Mitchell (engineering), who gave every car full mechanical and engineering support all weekend. And cheers to Pakelo Lubricants for keeping the cars running.

Congratulations, Harry! 🏆 NSW State Champion 🥇

While our crew was busy at Winton for Round 5 of the Australian Drivers' Championship, Harry was in New South Wales taking the top step and the Novice State title. Huge effort, champ!

We're proud to support Harry through Carbon Racing and Pakelo Lubricants, and he's been running Pakelo karting oil with great success. Here's to many more! 🔥

Quali and Race 1 done at Winton Motor Raceway 🏆

Carbon Racing's Round 5 of the Australian Drivers' Championship got going on Saturday with qualifying and Race 1 for all three of our drivers. Here's how it went:

🏆 Race 1
🥉 #38 Zac Catlin: P3, on the podium behind Harry Strik and Bradley Smith
🏁 #14 Jack Lewis: P10, up from P12 on the grid
🔧 #37 Kalen Chin: DNF. Kalen showed strong pace, setting some of the fastest laps in the field (best 1:21.42), before retiring with a broken chain

⏱️ Qualifying
🏁 #37 Kalen Chin: P3
🏁 #38 Zac Catlin: P4
🏁 #14 Jack Lewis: P12

Practice: Kalen P4, Zac P5.
