Our customers bought this SLC43 AMG for mum — a step up from her current car, without throwing her into all the technology of something brand new.

Ever wondered why window tint gets heat-shrunk on the outside before it’s installed on the inside?

Rear glass is curved. Window Tint is flat.

Heat shrinking carefully shapes the film to match the curve of the glass — allowing it to be installed on the inside as one clean piece.

One of those parts of the tinting process most people never get to see.

Hey Trav… If the glass is already dark… why are we tinting it? 🤔

Factory privacy glass gives you privacy, but that doesn’t mean it’s giving you the heat and UV protection you might expect.

In this Hey Trav, we’re adding a light ceramic film over the privacy glass of this Tesla Model Y L — helping keep the cabin more comfortable, protecting the interior, and most importantly, adding another layer of protection for the family sitting behind that glass.

Hey Trav… what doin’?
No pattern existed for this panel.
So we made one.

When you’re working on a hand-built Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale, there are no off-the-shelf patterns for every panel.

That means creating them by hand.

In this case, the area around the side air intake needed a custom “wishbone” insert because there was simply more panel than a single piece of film could cover.

A big shout out to our mate Tim Allison, whose idea inspired the wishbone pattern… although Trav still ‘wishes’ Tim was here helping instead. 😄

It’s all part of protecting a truly special car that’s been beautifully brought to life by The Healey Factory.

Sometimes the best protection isn’t about following a pattern… it’s about creating one.
