Today’s project: a 2005 HSV VZ Clubsport R8 finished in black with the factory purple mica through the paint.

Years of weathering, oxidation, wash damage, and neglect have heavily dulled the finish and buried the depth this colour is known for. Under proper lighting, the paint has lost its clarity, gloss, and sharp reflections.

The goal with this pre-sale detail is not just to clean the vehicle — it’s to restore it.
