Have put in a few solid hours with the uncle and major sponser to keep the vl on track for next season, the 186 is out and the donor car no longer has a motor 😅 i had made up my mind that the vl was going v6 till the donor car appeared into our lives 😆🫣

Been a minute since our last post but we are on the move again, time to start lots of prep from all the damage of its only race and to change the streety up a little bit to suit the new rules 😆

The vl has been on the back burner to work out what we are doing with it engine wise but now that we have a plan for that its time to get cracking!

Tonight just wasnt our night, we thought we had the car ready but boy was i wrong 😆 from the get go we couldnt get it to start but with a bit of help from other teams we got it going and then went out for the first heat just to lose oil pressure and all compression in the engine.

Now we have some pritty big plans with the vl and hopefully get the vy finished off ready for a clean slate next season with both cars.

Can not thank the family and friends enough that are along for the ride and support and help with the car and logistics of everything.

Well the 55 lapper last weekend did not dissapoint! The vl ran amazing all weekend till the B main then it didnt but still didnt finish last and had and awsome weekend! Turns out our 2nd weekend in the vl and we have done our 2nd head gasket in a good way

BUT

its almost ready to go again for our last race for the season at rushworth tomorrow night so if your free come over and check it out!

Well guys we are racing again! Team mechanic luke got cracking and changed up a few old out dated engine parts and a new head gasket and we think it might be a cracker of a little car! Havnt changed the paint yet as the retro look is growing on me.

So after our rushworth meet we came across a blown head gasket and some very old school parts that we have upgraded, luke has been busy knocking the engine and tune out ready for the little cousin to take over the reigns of the vl in may and get ready for the 100 lapper where we intend on taking both the vy and vl so keep an eye out guys for some race meets in may and the updates on the 100lapper! 👌 and yes there will be new paint jobs on both cars for the 100lapper 😆

Well a night that honestly couldnt have gone any better! Aaron and luke put in a massive week so we could get the car ready for tonight and we got it there!
First heat i jammed up the gears and couldnt get out of first so i pulled infield to save wrecking anything
Secomd heat i jammed it in 3rd amd just ran it and still got a finish.
The third heat was clearly my best heat finding the right gear helps that 🤦‍♂️
In the final 4 out of the 5 cars started and i finished completly untouched and we drove the car on to the trailer!

To think we got the car 2 weeks ago and finished the whole night without having to do any work is bloody awsome and this car is going to be a great addition to the ballistik motorsport team! Thanks luke for everything tonight and the cheer squad and the stunning missus that has had my back with this venture and watched peyton and made some pritty yummy sandwhiches for dinner ❤️ massive thanks to Keystone Stonework and SOS Heavy Transport and Mechanical Maintenance for there support and cant wait to have both logos loud and proud on both cars next season 👌
