Being nosy is our business ๐Ÿฅธ
We dig deep, research, and test to get to the root of the issue. We don't like throwing parts at a car as it doesn't guarantee a fix and can lead to you paying more than necessary

Were you as cold as Ollie this morning?

If your heater isn't working as well as it should it may be time to have your cooling system checked.

The same coolant that cools your engine warms your heater.

This TK test is a pretty good indication that there is some internal engine dramas.
Combustion getting into the cooling system are a sign that further digging is required.
However combined with moisture in the oil on this one gave us confirmation the head will need to be removed.

A closer look car bushes ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿง

Bushes are the rubber cushions between two intersecting metal part (generally suspension parts). Through usage and time they eventually become worn or split which can cause clunking, misaligned wheels, and steering issues. It can be hard to see on the photos with parts in the way, so we popped this one open to show what they look like when they're spent

Replacing just the bushes is a highly labour intensive job. We recommend replacing the whole control arm with the bushes already installed. This ensure safety as the previous arm could be damaged, the new arm has better parts warranty, and price wise it basically evens out (sometimes it's even cheaper)

Here we care what's best for you and your car.

Why battery voltage isn't the whole story:

The battery state of health (SOH) tells you how much capacity it has compared to what it was designed to, while its state of charge (SOC) is how full it is currently. Your battery loses charge when it supplies energy to start the car and running the electronics. The alternator then tries to charge it back up while the car is being driven, but if you mostly do short drives it doesnโ€™t have enough time to get it back to full. This overtime leads to bad battery health and it needing to be replaced early.

To avoid this we recommend either going on at least one long trip a week or getting a battery charger. Then every 2 weeks chuck it on to charge overnight. This can prolong it's life and keep money in your pocket for longer. But if it's health is too low or having other issues come in so we can sort out the problem
