Track Cycling Western Australia www.trackcyclingwa.com.au At that time, sadly, that was the biggest objective. The Cyclo Sportif Grand Prix to be held in June will be a Cycling Extravaganza.

Track Cycling WA has grown from a point in time around 2002 where the discipline of Track Cycling in Western Australia was for all intents and purposes “dead and buried”. A small group of officials invited from existing State affiliated clubs at the time were pulled together in an attempt to keep the sport going. To turn the sport around to a position it finds itself in now has been a long and ded

icated effort by a very committed group of men and women that believed we had a discipline worth salvaging. Programmes were put into place in a deliberate manner to attract riders of all shapes, sizes, age and sex to view Track Cycling as an exciting alternative to cycling and fitness, complemented by the World class magnificence of the indoor “Speedome” venue. All our programmes have been outstandingly successful for the individuals involved and has reflected in our membership base and the Australian and International results individuals associated with us have achieved is outstanding by anyone’s measure. In conjunction with other stakeholders, (West Australian Sports Centre Trust, Cycling WA and other State Clubs) we believe that we lead the Nation with our grass roots development classes that see the Speedome used every day of the week. We pride ourselves on the fact that we cater for everyone, underage Juniors, TID Juniors, Masters, adult introduction courses, Women only classes, elite and WAIS supervised programmes and of course regular domestic racing. As well as running a full Winter and summer domestic season our promotional expertise has also developed along the journey and this year we will proudly promote two truly world class events. Incorporating the Cyclo Sportif “Cicla a Swan Valley” race, a cycling specific trade show, VIP corporate lounge, centre track “Cyclist Reunion Luncheon” and of course the Track Cycling Grand Prix event will be a festival of cycling that anyone who has ever thrown their leg over a bike should not miss. Track Cycling Western Australia is a volunteer organisation, motivated and driven to lift this discipline of our sport to the level it deserves. Want to know more? please have a look at our website!

🚴‍♂️ Calling All Young Cyclists (Ages 11–16)! 🚴‍♀️

We are currently collecting expressions of interest from young track cyclists aged 11–16 who would like the opportunity to be considered for selection to participate in the:

🏆 2026 Asia‑Pacific Youth Track Cycling Tournament
Developing Future Champions (Ages 11–16)
📅 Dates: 18 – 20 December 2026
📍 Location: Hong Kong Velodrome
🏟 Facility: UCI‑certified venues

If your child is actively racing in track cycling and is aged 11–16, please come forward and let us know. The race will be fully sponsored, including flights, accommodation, and travel, to help us confirm numbers and proceed with the selection process.

From back yard cricket to the boards!
This Australia Day we WILL be on the track!
No time off for rest, there’s training to be done. 💪
Event Schedule:

Doors open 6pm to 6:30pm …individual warm up.

6:30 pm, 100 lap simulated points race, sprint every 10 laps. “Experienced riders only”

Individual efforts i.e. for sprinters or enduros 15 - 20 min

7:45 pm, Keirin (6 riders) number of races depends on interested riders.

8:15, pm, Moto pus-up…Novice 200 mts advanced 500 mts (possible 3 up case the rabbit)

8:45 warm down…

We still can't quite believe what a weekend that was! Shoutout to the 7 teams of TCWA legends that took on the team time trial, club criterium and gran fondo.

So great to come away with a couple of podiums, some great team experiences and some new skills. Looking forward to seeing what we can do next year. 👏🏼

We all know just how important specific track training time is, but what’s more important is being able to facilitate everyone that needs time alocated to their discipline within the Saturday track session.

To ride on a Saturday you MUST contact Bill Gordin by 12 noon on Friday to get a ride.
If you don’t you will NOT be able to ride
“No exceptions”

This allows us to schedule the session so everyone gets the time they need!
