With an apparent super El Niño approaching for the back half of this year and into summer usually translates into a long dry spell with little rainfall and a bad bushfire season. Have you ever seen a bolt with this much wear. Best I have ever seen. Servicing a rocker roller suspension today on a horse float . And this is what I found holding the springs and axles in place. Caused by not greasing up the grease ni***es with a grease gun on a regular 3 monthly schedule. Trailers are the most neglected, abused and over loaded vehicles on the road.
In one of the photos I put a new bolt and steel bush for comparison .
Dont risk your precious cargo and other road users by not servicing your trailer. If this bolt had broken off at 100kmh with 2 horses in a heavy trailer , who knows what could’ve happened.

Another one bites the dust. Another painted steel trailer gone to the big scrap yard, beyond saving at only 12 years of age.
So Sam had the good sense to go for a new 7x5 galvanised trailer to replace his dangerous rust bucket that was an accident waiting to happen . His new galvanised trailer will more than likely last a lifetime. A hot dip galvanised trailer is the way to go if you want to beat the rust .
