Fancy bidding on this Maserati Mexico? Its coming up for auction at Shannons

- 1967 Maserati Mexico
- Renewed cosmetics
- Refurbished mechanicals
- Lovely ‘60s Italian supercar
- Very rare in Australia

There is something about Italian supercars from the ‘60s and ‘70s that makes them so appealing. These hand-built, almost bespoke models from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati were really something special back then, and they continue to be on serious collectors’ shortlists today. This 1967 Maserati Mexico is just such an example, a rare car anywhere, with less than 500 were ever built and only a handful at most coming to Australia in period. Ours is a left-hand drive import that has been extensively rejuvenated. All the body’s chrome work has been refinished, as have the chromed Borrani wire wheels. The Mexico’s paint has now aged and wears some chips, scratches and wear, and has almost been polished through in a couple of places. Its bootlid isn’t the best fit either, though being a late ‘60s hand-built Italian supercar, this may be the way it came from the factory. Inside, though, huge sums have been lavished on the trim, which is in luscious maroon leather, while the black carpets and ribbed cream headlining are also new. Its wooden dashboard and door tops have been restored and polished as well, and the work has also included body deadener underneath, all wiring and electrics repaired or replaced, suspension rubbers replaced, and brakes refurbished. The Maserati’s five-speed gearbox was also checked and serviced, the exhaust checked, and the carburettors rebuilt. So, the work has been extensive and expensive, and totally in keeping with this Mexico’s exclusivity. Previously on Victorian club registration, this highly desirable Italian is being offered for sale here unregistered.

Hi, I'm interested in talking to people who own a Ghibli or Ghibli S, model from 2014 onwards. I'm thinking of buying one and want to ask a few questions.
I have just had the scuff marks on my wheels repaired along with some minor leather repairs done on my 3200gt. Highly recommend Newlife services Bayside.
