Alpha Details

Alpha Details Alpha Details is a boutique detailing studio suited to customers who truly love their cars . We are extreme in our level of detail.

19/08/2026

There’s no such thing as a “typical” day at Alpha Details.

It starts with coffee, new products to test, packing slips, labels, and the small decisions that make every order feel considered.

Then it’s straight into the workshop—finishing a full PPF install on an M4 and enhancing paint ahead of a ceramic coating on an Audi.

From the shelves to the shipping bench to the workshop floor, every part of what we do comes back to the same thing: details matter.

We don’t stock everything. On purpose.

Every product on our shelf has been through the studio first — used on customers’ cars, week after week, before we sell it to anyone.

MIRCH, Bilt Hamber, Soft99 and Aquatouch all earn their place. Koch Chemie and Labocosmetica we carry in full, because we work the whole system.

That’s why we can tell you the pH, the actives and the dilution for your setup. We’ve run it. We haven’t just read the bottle.

The people behind these brands talk to us directly. MIRCH have backed us from the start, and that access means you get the chemistry, not the marketing.

If something doesn’t work for you, tell us. Good or bad — that’s how the advice gets better for all of us.

Book the car in for a decon wash and watch the whole process. Call and book a product info session. Or drop in — message first, we’re often out on site training.

Full Labocosmetica system on a white Land Cruiser. Watch what happens to white.”
- “Everyone says white doesn’t show a coating. Give me 30 seconds.”
- “Top to bottom. One Italian system. Zero shortcuts.”

> A Land Cruiser in for the works — full Labocosmetica system, top to bottom.
>
> Three-pH decon first, because a coating is only ever as good as what’s under it. Then FÌERO to refine the paint — filler-free, silicone-free, so nothing is hidden and nothing washes off in three weeks. STC goes down as the base: a SiO₂ + TiO₂ ceramic that keys into the clear coat mostly physically. Then HPC•PRO over the top, a hybrid polysilazane that bonds chemically to that base and gives you the slickness, the gloss and the chemical resistance.
>
> The applicator going rock hard in the clip isn’t a party trick. That’s the crosslinking density you’re putting on the panel.
>
> Everyone tells you white doesn’t show a coating. White shows depth when the paint underneath is actually flat and the top layer is actually clear. Look at the reflections.
>
> Coatings booked out of Heidelberg West. Chemistry questions welcome — I’ll answer them properly.

Most stores sell what’s profitable. We sell what we use. 🧪

Comment STORE and I’ll DM you the link.

Every bottle on our shelves earned its spot on our own customers’ cars first. Labocosmetica. Koch Chemie. Bilt Hamber. Soft99 — Fusso & Glaco. MIRCH — 🇦🇺 now stocking in Australia. Aquatouch. AR pressure washers. And more.

The difference? We read what’s actually in a formula before it hits the shelf. No NaOH pre-washes. No HF wheel cleaners. If we won’t put it on a customer’s car, we don’t sell it.

Shop online, or walk in and trial it first at our Heidelberg West studio. Wash classes. Certified coating installs. PPF in-house.

Most stores sell what's profitable. We sell what we use.

Every product on our shelves earns its place on our own customers' cars first — Labocosmetica, Koch Chemie, MIRCH, Aquatouch, AR pressure washers and more. 🇦🇺 Proud Australian representative for MIRCH.

Detailers with a chemistry degree — we read what's actually in a formula before it hits the shelf. No NaOH pre-washes. No HF wheel cleaners. If we won't put it on a customer's car, we don't sell it.

We were honored to be asked onto Reggy Cox’s podcast.

When the face of Labocosmetica invites you on, you say yes. We recorded Friday night and covered a broad range of topics — detailing, chemistry, the craft.

It’s out now on Reggy’s YouTube channel. We hope you all watch it.

Both of these went on clear.
One came off clear. The other is what happens when the chemistry is wrong.
There are two yellows in a failed PPF, and most people never hear about either.
The first is in the film. Cheap PPF is built on aromatic TPU — made from MDI or TDI, both carrying benzene rings. UV photo-oxidises those rings into chromophores and the film goes amber. Permanently. Premium film uses aliphatic TPU: HDI, IPDI, H₁₂MDI. No rings. Nothing for UV to rearrange.
The second is in the adhesive. The acrylic layer underneath can oxidise and bleed upward through a film that’s otherwise perfectly fine.
From the outside you cannot tell which one you’ve got. Not by looking. Not from the invoice.
And that ten-year warranty everyone quotes — read the words. It covers yellowing, cracking, bubbling and delamination as manufacturing defects. It says nothing about how the film behaves when it comes off. Nothing about whether the adhesive lets go. Nothing about whether your clear coat comes with it.
So we start checking at five years. Not because a manufacturer told us to — because acrylic adhesive keeps building bond the longer it sits, and aged film goes brittle, tears instead of peeling, and leaves its glue on your paint.
Sound factory paint almost always survives a proper removal. Resprays are where it goes wrong. That’s a conversation to have before the heat gun comes out, not after.
We install CARPRO Immortal — in CarPro’s own words, a clear-coated aliphatic polyurethane film on an Ashland acrylic adhesive. And we video-log every install: the roll, the batch, the work. Because in this industry a film gets quoted and a different film gets installed, and you find out in year six.
Ask your installer one question: aliphatic or aromatic?
If they can’t answer, that’s the answer.
