Anger, discontent, and complaining are not manly character traits. They demonstrate an agitated, undisciplined, and uncontrolled mind and spirit, which are not traits becoming of a real man who has strength, courage, and endurance.

Men of strength, courage, and endurance discipline themselves to control their minds instead of allowing themselves to react mindlessly to every challenge or irritation that they encounter. They control their thoughts and refuse to allow external things to rob them of their composure.

Real men refuse to be controlled by others; they understand that if someone else can “make” you angry, he can control you at will. Men of strength maintain a calm mind and refuse to allow others to manipulate them through their words or actions. They know that they have no control over what other people say or do, so they accept others as they are and respond as necessary; but they refuse to be moved to anger or complaining.

The stronger a man is, the calmer he is. Self-confident men, who know who they are and what they can do, remain unaffected by the words or actions of others. They do not care about what others think about them. A real man has confidence in himself and refuses to forget who he is, no matter how others behave or what is going on around him.

He maintains a calm, unaffected mind at all times and understands that complaining is beneath him because complaining without taking action is nothing more than whining. He remains calm, controls his anger and discontent, and refuses to complain, understanding that getting angry and complaining solves nothing. So, he simply responds to each situation as needed, remaining calm no matter what comes his way.
