NISSMAP is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Etienne Mason, who has recently completed his dual trade in Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and Automotive Electrical Technology, alongside his Air Conditioning Licence, Nissan Certified Technician and Advanced Technician qualifications.
Etienne’s journey is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when an apprentice combines talent, determination and a commitment to continuous learning with the right support around them.
But Etienne’s achievements extend well beyond his formal qualifications.
Most recently, Etienne competed at WorldSkills in both Automotive Technology and Automotive Electrical Technology. In an outstanding result, he was awarded Silver in both trades, demonstrating his technical ability and dedication.
His achievements have also been recognised through the AENWA Training Awards, where Etienne was named a finalist in recognition of his commitment and achievements as an apprentice.
Etienne was also selected to attend Today’s Skills, Tomorrow’s Leaders in Canberra as a national representative for apprentices. The program provided an opportunity to represent apprentices from across Australia, connect with other emerging tradespeople and contribute to conversations about the future of skills and vocational education.
A special thank you also goes to Gibbons Automotive, Etienne’s supportive employer partner. The role of an employer in an apprentice’s journey cannot be underestimated, and Gibbons Automotive has provided Etienne with the workplace support, experience and opportunities needed to develop his skills and reach these milestones.
NISSMAP congratulates Etienne on the commitment he has shown throughout his apprenticeship and thanks everyone who has supported him along the way.
From completing a dual trade and achieving Nissan specialist qualifications, to competing at WorldSkills, representing apprentices nationally and being recognised as an AENWA Training Awards finalist, Etienne has certainly made his mark.
Congratulations, Etienne, on an exceptional apprenticeship journey.
Your achievements are a great example of what NISSMAP is about — not just training, but creating opportunities, building capability and supporting apprentices to reach their full potential.
