LS ROCKER CLEARANCE, SORTED.

Running aftermarket rockers but want to retain your factory LS valve covers?

Yella Terra 25mm Alloy Valve Cover Spacers provide the additional height and clearance needed for larger rocker assemblies while keeping the factory-style covers in place.

Designed to suit LS1, LS2, LS3, LSA and LSX applications, each pair comes with the required hardware and sealing components for installation.

A simple solution to a common LS valvetrain clearance problem.

Available now through the Yella Terra online store. Hit the link in bio to order.

WHY WON’T YOUR ROCKERS CLEAR THE FACTORY LS ROCKER COVERS?

Once you step up to larger adjustable rockers, clearance can become a problem, particularly around the rocker heel and adjuster.

That’s exactly why we developed the Yella Terra LS Rocker Cover Spacers.

Locally cast from heat-treated T6 alloy and machined in-house, they provide the additional height and clearance required while allowing you to retain the factory LS rocker covers.

And they’re not limited to Yella Terra rockers, they’re also used by customers running other aftermarket rocker combinations where additional clearance is required.

Matt takes us through the design, fitment and why this simple component can save a lot of headaches when setting up your LS valvetrain.

Need a set for your build? Check them out through the Yella Terra online store.

WHEN YELLA TERRA WAS ACROSS THE AUSCAR FIELD.

A full line-up of Holden and Ford AUSCARs assembled at Calder Park, with Yella Terra displayed across the windscreens during one of Australian stock-car racing’s most memorable periods.

This wasn’t simply a logo appearing on an individual race car.

Yella Terra’s relationship with AUSCAR extended across the category. Holden and Ford competitors at the Thunderdome were required to run Yella Terra roller rockers, putting Australian-made valvetrain components through sustained high-rpm racing at average speeds exceeding 200 km/h.

The Calder Park Thunderdome became a genuine proving ground, thousands of racing laps, constant engine speed and no room for unreliable components.

This photograph captures a period when Yella Terra wasn’t watching Australian motorsport history from the sidelines.

We were part of the field.

Who recognises any of the cars or teams in this line-up? Help us document the history in the comments.

WHAT ARE WE WORKING ON HERE? 👀

Another Yella Terra component taking shape on the screen before it makes its way into production.

If you know your LS valvetrain, you might already know what you’re looking at…

Next video, Matt explains exactly what it is and why you might need one.

BLUE, BOOSTED AND BUILT RIGHT. 💙

This Holden 5-litre ute is hiding something pretty special under the bonnet. A Yella Terra supercharger setup.

Clean on the outside. A whole different story when the bonnet comes up.

We never get tired of seeing Yella Terra-equipped builds out in the wild.

Got Yella Terra gear on your build? Send it through, we’d love to see it.

THE #22 THAT SURVIVED THE THUNDERDOME.

Clyde Lawrence’s #22 Holden Commodore AUSCAR, photographed at Calder Park during the 1990/91 era with Yella Terra proudly displayed on the front guard.

Originally built as a VN Commodore and quickly updated to VP specification, the #22 competed for a single season before beginning a very different life away from championship racing.

But its story didn’t end there.

More than three decades later, the car was restored and returned to competition through Stock Cars Australia, still carrying its original alloy 308 Holden V8 and much of the equipment fitted when it was first built at Calder Park.

Yella Terra’s involvement in AUSCAR went well beyond putting a logo on the bodywork. The Thunderdome became a genuine proving ground for our roller rockers, with Holden and Ford V8s running sustained high-rpm laps at average speeds above 200 km/h.

Australian components, tested under real race conditions, and a piece of that history still competing today.

Who remembers Clyde Lawrence’s #22, or has more photos from its original season?

FRESH FROM THE FACTORY. 👀

Matt caught this batch just before heading back to Queensland. Freshly machined products back from powder coating and plenty happening behind the scenes.

Platinum Lids ready to go, backorders getting filled, and a first look at some of what’s coming with the new Gen Series.

More to come on that one. Stay tuned.

FROM THE ARCHIVES: THE PERFECTUNE YEARS.

Long before Yella Terra became the name recognised around the world today, there was Perfectune.

Engine development, cylinder head modifications, dyno tuning and motorsport were all part of the foundation that helped shape what Yella Terra would become.

Photos like this are a reminder that performance engineering has been part of our DNA from the very beginning.

More than six decades later, we’re still developing and manufacturing performance engine components right here in Australia.

The cars have changed. The pursuit of performance hasn’t.

Who remembers seeing the Perfectune name at the track?
