Photos from yesterday's Studebaker Car Club Concours at the Shannon's Showroom in Heatherton. A great turn out considering the terrible weather. All the cars looked amazing under the lights. Was a great day.

Well what a suprise this afternoon turned out to be at the Studebaker Car Clubs Concours.
We brought 4 cars to the show and all 4 came in the top 10.
The 53 Commander came 9th, the 63 Avanti came 8th, the 57 Silver Hawk came 4th and the 1925 Delivery Van won the Concours coming first place.
Was a ripper day and lots of beautiful cars in attendance.

Busy day in the garage cleaning and polishing the 53 Commander and the 63 Avanti, getting them both ready for the Studebaker Car Club of Australia's Concours in 2 weeks time.
The Avanti is just about ready, but still got a bit to do to the Commander.
Thanks to my little buddy Hunter, who helped by cleaning the interiors on both cars.

Yesterday was International Drive Your Studebaker Day, so dad, Hunter and myself took the 53 Commander to the Victorian hot rod and Street machine show. There must have been at least 700 cars on display between the car show in the building and the spectators cars on show in the car park. Thousands of people in attendance, a great way to get people to see Studebaker on Drive Your Studebaker Day.
Was a ripper day out.

Today Hunter and I took the 63 Avanti on a club run. We first drove just over an hour and a half to the Caldermeade farm and Cafe, where we met up with a few members from the club for morning tea.
It was then onto Phillip Island to vist the National Vietnam Veterans Museum, where we had a guided tour, that was very informative. They had many items of memorabilia from the war on display, as well as a great selection of military vehicles and aircraft.
Following the Museum, it was then onto lunch at the San Remo Hotel, which was delicious. Around 2pm we headed off home, as we had a 2 hour drive ahead of us.
Was a great day out.

This morning dad and I took the Avanti's to the local Men's Shed monthly car gathering.
First time for ages that we have had both our Avanti's at a show together. They certainly drew a lot of attention and we probably spent more time talking to people about the cars, then looking at the others on display.
Was a great morning.
