Hydrosterr are seeking a qualified automotive mechanic at our Sydney branch .

About the Role
Due to the impending retirement of a long-serving team member, we require a person to accurately diagnose faults and remove and repair steering gears and pumps.

This will suit an experienced truck mechanic wishing to get away from heavy driveline, suspension, brake & clutch work and move into a specialist area.

The job will also suit a qualified mechanic from other automotive sectors looking to re-train and transition into a new area.

Power steering training and tools provided. Immediate start!

The Person we seek
We need an enthusiastic and reliable person who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about the customer experience.

Knowledge of truck power steering systems would be desirable but is not essential as we will provide necessary training.

Required attributes, skills and experience
Qualified tradesperson with hands-on mechanical background
Understanding of heavy truck power steering (desirable)
Attention to detail
Ability to work without constant supervision
Able to communicate effectively with customers and workshop team
Intermediate level computer skills with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
Drivers licence with a clean driving record (HR licence desirable)
Willing to undertake Police check
