A win for clean energy investment! 🔋☀️🌱

After sustained pressure from the crossbench and industry, the Government has agreed to extend the 50% CGT concession for foreign investment in renewable energy from 2030 to 2040.

With around 70% of clean energy capital coming from overseas, this change gives investors greater certainty and helps protect the pipeline of wind, solar, storage and network projects Australia needs.

I’ll keep pushing for a statutory review in 2035 to ensure our tax settings continue to support the investment needed to reach net zero by 2050.
