Hello Everyone,

The Maryborough BMX Club would like to invite all members to our 2026 Annual General Meeting, to be held on:

🗳️ ALL COMMITTEE POSITIONS ARE OPEN FOR NOMINATION

The following positions will be open for nomination:

Vice President
**Secretary

Registrar
Publicity / Social Media Officer
Canteen Coordinator
Track Director

Positions marked with ** are required to be filled in order to form the Committee.

👤 WANT TO VOTE AT THE AGM?

To be eligible to vote, you must be an official member of the Maryborough BMX Club.

🪪 WANT TO JOIN THE COMMITTEE?

Anyone applying for a Committee position must hold and be able to produce a current Blue Card.

The Club can assist volunteers with obtaining a Blue Card free of charge.

🙋‍♀️ WE NEED SOME FRESH FACES!

Some of our current long-serving Committee members are looking at stepping away from Committee duties, so we're looking for people who may be interested in taking on a role within the Club.

Without a Committee being formed, our Club won't be able to operate.

Clubs like ours don't run by themselves — many hands make light work! 🤝

If you've ever thought about getting involved, now is a great time to put your hand up. You don't need to know everything — we're happy to explain what's involved and help you get started.

If you're interested, please reach out to our current:

before the AGM to have a chat about the available positions and what's involved.

🏆 TROPHY PRESENTATION & CHRISTMAS BREAK-UP 🎄

Once the AGM has been completed and the Committee positions are filled, we'll roll straight into our 2026 Trophy Presentation & Christmas Break-Up from 3:00pm.

🏆 Riders who have raced at the Club throughout the year and are still racing at the time of the breakup will receive a trophy.

🏆 Riders eligible for our Perpetual Trophies will also have these awarded, with replacement perpetual trophies being handed out where required.

Trophies are awarded based on points scored throughout the 2026 Maryborough BMX Club Series through Sqorz.

💦 AND OF COURSE... THE SLIP & SLIDE IS BACK!

We'll have the slip and slide on the hill again, so bring the kids, bring a towel and get ready for some fun! 😎💦

🍔 Food will be available from the canteen — so don't have lunch!

Food is FREE for all riders and Club members.

💰 $5 per person for non-riders.

BMX Racing – Essential Safety Gear

1. Full-face helmet – Properly fitted and meeting the applicable safety standards.
2. Full-finger gloves– For hand protection and grip.
3. Long-sleeved jersey – Sleeves extending to the wrists.
4. Protective long pants – Purpose-designed, tear-resistant BMX racing pants.
5. Closed-toe shoes– Secure-fitting shoes with good pedal grip.

The club has bikes and some safety gear available to use while trialing BMX.
